I'm struck by the similarities to Trump's bible photo incident: Donald Trump photo op at St. John's Church - Wikipedia

I grew up in a right-wing authoritarian family: physical violence is pretty routine, as is DARVO.

“Churches are not to be touched!” he added.

That would carry so much more weight if churches didn't touch or otherwise affect people who don't follow their particular faith.

Makes sense to me. While it's probably implied in Buttigieg's point, I'd like to add there's a level of contempt for the poor, and by poor I mean folks who are not wealthy.

Putting political appointees in place of today's career civil service would be terrible. We live in a technological world and neither lawyers or judges can understand the finer points of things like environmental degradation, rocket science or brain surgery.

I disagree with Snyder. The crowing of the president as king via Extreme Court's immunity decision was the end. Biden is too good to take advantage, but others besides Trump will.

Can't buy alcohol. Can't buy cigarettes. Can't be employed in most jobs. Can't get a drivers license. But can initiate sex with an adult?

Circumcision is not gender-affirming care? "Oh, that's different!"

An oxymoron. The principals of science are provable through repetition. Faith implies lack of proof. An oxymoron.

You go get 'em, AOC. Personally, I'd like to see the Declaration of Independence rewritten so that it doesn't give this false impression about our form of government and kings.

The wall has been devastating to wildlife, it has effectively stopped them from accessing water, but it has not stopped humans.
