[–] ThanksObama@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 days ago

Megachurch pastor? Don't do him dirty like that. He likely also a diddler as well.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 86 points 6 days ago (1 children)

That fat child raping cunt doesn't understand not to shit itself on camera at the Whitehouse.
Fuck off, Pastor Shitface. Fuck off and die.

Yeah American evangelicals don't think any Catholics understand the Bible.

[–] phx@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago (2 children)

That's because they follow the Capitalist Bible

Dallas-area megachurch pastor

Well there's your problem. These guys know as much about the Bible as Trump.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 16 points 5 days ago

They also know as much about grifting.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

Once you put “mega” in there, is there such a thing as a legitimate “pastor/priest”?

[–] Endymion_Mallorn@kbin.melroy.org 45 points 6 days ago (5 children)

Sure. Leo thinks it's a guide for morals and good living. Trump understands it's a grift to let old warmongering men stay in charge.

Is that brown lipstick he's wearing?

[–] saimen@feddit.org 6 points 4 days ago (2 children)

That's just from the shit he's talking

Or the saggy orange arse he's been kissing.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

No it's the same shade that every one of these "Christian leaders" is wearing these days. It comes from them trying to lick Trump's asshole.

[–] itisileclerk@lemmy.world 25 points 5 days ago (5 children)

As I suspected, conservative Christians in the US are not real Christians, but rather “money for faith” type people. Their supreme authority is money. Nothing to do with christianity or Jesus or faith.

Jeffress, a Dallas-area megachurch pastor

Nothing farther from faith than such people

[–] limelight79@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Supply-side Jesus worshipper.

He must not be familiar with the seminary school curriculum.

[–] FanciestPants@lemmy.world 21 points 5 days ago

"Bible" is such a weird way to spell Epstein files.

[–] jqubed@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago

I’m not surprised to see a conservative Baptist minister not missing a chance to take a swipe at Catholicism

[–] starik@lemmy.zip 16 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Perhaps Trump has a better understanding of American Christians than the Pope does.

A Christian pastor who shills and grifts? I don't think that's ever been done before. /s

Well. If you attempt to read it upside down it just invokes Satan and the Antichrist... /s.

[–] signor@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago

He means the guy that said two corinthians?

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

no he doesnt. he listens to his sick-minded "preacher" who also misinterprets the scriptures he cherry picks

[–] formergijoe@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Every Bible passage is his favorite. Like the story of Lot and his daughters.

American Christianity is fascism with even worse music. That's what Pussolini understands.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago

I suppose that's why he held it upside down after his fascist photo op in front of that church?

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 5 days ago (4 children)

That bible experts cannot agree on what the bible means, and which of its doctrine is important, makes for a strong argument that it is a historical document, neither inspired, nor univocal, nor inerrant.

If it were divine, then its meaning would be clear beyond debate.

In other words, it's just a bunch of mythology invented by dudes in the bronze age, and nothing more.

[–] olafurp@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago

Yeah, this is why in a way Catholicism and Orthodox makes more sense where you have an ultimate authority chosen by god to update Christianity. Has its own issues though like the time when the pope issued purgatory skip papers for money to fund pet projects.

All those fucking fundies.

They become the very thing they hate.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago

This pastor clearly doesn't believe in heaven and hell, or he would lie in support of the literal anti-christ.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

And who cares what this nobody says?
Should this be an item in even a garbage UK outlet, or worse Lemmy?

[–] CptHacke@piefed.social 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I'm guessing that the 'pastor' has some pretty heavy callouses on his knees that aren't from praying.
