I tried to confirm this, but after throwing a plastic plate on the floor, it's NOT like it was before.

It now has a cat sitting on it.

[–] shirasho@feddit.online 9 points 17 hours ago

So it ended up better than before.

[–] Rusty@lemmy.ca 9 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Apologize to the cat for not giving them a nice plate earlier.

[–] DasFaultier@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So you're saying all I have to do of apologize to someone, and then a cat will appear and sit on my lap, got it.

I'm saying if you hurt your partner and then go to apologize, they might already have a pussy sitting on them.

[–] DasFaultier@sh.itjust.works 4 points 23 hours ago

I mean, MROWWW, but it's really not worth it hurting my partner for it.

[–] stupidcasey@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago

He's saying if you pet the pussy your apology might move her.

Tell the plate “you’re welcome”

[–] X@piefed.world 22 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

“Okay now DON’T USE A PLASTIC PLATE and throw it on the floor”

Done.

“Apologise to the plate”

Done.

“Is the plate like it was before?”

Yeah

“Don’t lie☹️”

I’m not lying. The floor is covered in thick carpet.

“[WELL THAT’S NOT VERY POLITE.]”

Same outcome, really.

[–] JennaR8r@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 14 hours ago

Well then maybe Mr Sensitive should be made out of plastic instead of squishy flesh & bones & guts & feelings.

Suits the heart full of microplastics

Meanwhile, Corelle enjoyers:

[–] almost1337@lemmy.zip 2 points 22 hours ago

Modern Corelle is breakable crap. Gotta get older stuff.

[–] buffing_lecturer@leminal.space 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Theres still like a 10% chance of shattered ime

[–] grue@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Yeah, but it's still way better than plastic.

[–] hakase@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Love my Corelle!

This would read differently if the left side person has had a lot of plastic surgery done.

[–] blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Say it was paper to avoid the microplasticspastics

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 5 points 1 day ago

A lot of modern "plastic" plates are actually made of a straw composite.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

😒 even "paper" plates have plastics in them now.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Shit, I have ceramic plates and those things are also sturdy as hell. I'd have to slam them into the ground to break them not just drop 'em.

[–] Grass@sh.itjust.works 1 points 18 hours ago

it's just waiting for that one weird day where you gently bump against something and instead of the expected clinking a glass sound it just shatters into dust. I had one of these shatter the other day while filling it with tap water and some of them have fallen from the counter to the tile with not even a chip or scratch. 1000028777

somehow i feel i should say something about how plastics is a very good material after all, even though people keep calling it "cheap".
