Funny to me that the pizza cake comic got so much random dislike for "just having a caricature of a person as the punchline" but this also exists on the community and is basically the same thing.

The punchline isn't very good but how is this "basically the same thing"? There's no self-insert character saying something commendable

No offense meant but I don't have a Bluesky and I don't go there. I also have no idea if I'm supposed to have seen this video and so on.
The baseline of the joke is basically "tech oligarchs are aliens or machines" which is a well known and kind of playe out joke that has been made repeatedly at the expense of literally almost every tech oligarch who's heading a tech company today. Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Sataya Nadela, Sundar Pichai, and Mark Zuckerberg have basically all had this joke made about them especially in regards to how they schill AI.
Even if it's not a self insert it follows the same basic premise of saying something we all agree with as the punchline. I don't consider the HAL or Mr burns reference to be particularly funny but I'm not trying to trash talk this comic or the other one (which I also didn't find particularly funny).
I'm just pointing out the difference in reaction and also wondering if this is a holdover from the comics community where people read an opinion they agreed with and then regurgitated it over here.
Much though I like the anti-ai community, I am willing to admit that something like this comic and the other one normally would do numbers with its users and not receive a lot in the way of backlash or open dislike except by trolls who frequent the community to start arguments.
Assuming you mean the one with the woman asking chatgpt how she feels about this? It's the precise exaggerated joke I've seen at least 5 times by now. I don't have a need to hate on it but there's just nothing interesting about that comic.
This one is also rather predictable but at least there's a weird burns/hal hybrid that is mildly amusing because it's unexpected. The comics are similar but they don't have the same punchline.
You might note that this is not the comics community.

To be fair electricity is kind of the only thing where that works, and has only recently become a mainstream thing. I can't really dig a well and sell my water back to the water company or make my own TV channels
"selling surplus intelligence to the grid" is basically what all those people employed in the cubicle farms over seas that actually run the AI apps are doing. It's funny how every time a company has some new "AI will do it" like check out your groceries or drive your delivery robots, etc. it always turns out to be literal human people in cubicle farms...
There instead should be a picture of Peter Thiel pulling strings and gears like the Wizard in with the Wizard of Oz.
