Yeah for some reason talking about what I do at work isn’t an issue. Anything else, I’m faking explosive diarrhea.
I just said to my wife this week how so often I'm at an appointment or at the store and the person helping me starts with the polite "any big plans for this evening / weekend" and in my head I'm thinking "leave me alone, I don't know what's going on! Why you gotta put me on the spot like that? Why am I even here?"
Sounds like the perfect opportunity to grey-rock some strangers. I am managing their expectations, not unlike a opossum playing dead
