There’s never been absolute freedom of speech, anywhere on the internet.
There is something you could say that will get you shunned from any community.
That’s my response to “but free speech!” That phrase means you’re trying to say something that will generally inflame Lemmy instances, so specify what you wish to discuss if you want to be pointed somewhere better.
Freedom of speech is not getting shunned from a community. Freedom of speech is not getting prosecuted by your government.

.ml has the best moderation of any open instance. On .world or sh.it.just.works, inadequate support for the master race's genocide will be considered "antisemitism."
Not a single one of my admins has ever banned someone from my instance. And they never will.
