A new Drop Site/Zeteo/Data For Progress survey also finds likely American voters are split on whether Trump is more responsive to the American people or to Israel.

I mean it's pretty obvious.

An innocent public figure being accused of raping children would have immediately released a statement that he supports the release of the Epstein files to exonnerate himself and bring pedophiles to justice.

Trump did the opposite and went to the ends of the Earth to prevent their release.

So logic states he's either a pedophile in the Epstein files or being blackmailed by pedophiles in the Epstein files. And you can't be a functional president if you're either.

And even a dipshit like Donald Trump knows that conservative voters don't give a flying fuck about anything other than gas prices, so fucking around with a war that will guarantee raise gas prices is something you would only do if you REALLY needed a distraction.

Operation Epstein's Fury. We all know it, prez is a blackmailed cuck of israel.

Fucking pathetic.

He's a blackmailed cuck of probably everybody at this point.

Duh. They called it Operation Epic Fury.

Doesn't that sound weird as fuck to anyone else? They know what it stands for.

[–] zilouge@feddit.nu 2 points 1 day ago

Epstein Fury

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 56 points 2 days ago

Hard to prove, because there's always at least one horrifying scandal ongoing, and there's always at least six USA "preemptive strikes" happening at any one time.

[–] Zink@programming.dev 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well obviously, but what I want to know is if the USA being the BFG-9000 of Israel was a planned goal of the whole Epstein "honeypot for powerful psychopaths" operation or if it was just convenient timing.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Epstein had extensive ties to the CIA, MI6, and Mossad, primarily through his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell's father, Robert and his mentor, the father of Trump's first AG Bob Barr, Donald.

This whole thing is the culmination of the political intrigues that brought the Soviet Union down 40 years ago. Trump's people are just mopping up what's left of the anti-colonial resistance governments.

Okay. Hear me out.

It might be because that's exactly the case.

Turns out an old man raping kids really sticks in people's minds.

Not GOP people, but normal people who are moral.

At this point, why would they even care about the epstein files? No one's actually doing anything about it. If pedo's were getting [redacted] and they were afraid for their lives, this whole "distraction" narrative might make sense, but I have not seen an instance of someone suffering real consequences for being in the files. I would love to be wrong on that bit.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Because raping kids isn't the worst thing they could have been doing to kids...

As much as Mr "I could shoot someone on 5th ave" thinks he could get away with, he's terrified about the Epstein files being released.

It's some fucked up weird shit in there. Shit that would make anyone hate him.

[–] dizzle18@lemmy.zip 23 points 2 days ago (2 children)

That’s what’s genuinely unsettling about the files. He’s terrified of what’s in there, and I seriously don’t think it’s because of the child rape. This is the asshole who has openly talked about walking into the dressing room of Ms. Teen USA while they were all undressed. He doesn’t give a flying fuck if people know that he raped a kid. There’s some other shit in those files that completely scares the shit out of him if it saw the light of day. I have my ideas as to what it could be, but something tells me my imagination isn’t nearly fucked up enough…

It's the elections, trumps poll numbers finally started tanking so he bombed iran to raise support.

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 14 points 2 days ago

He held a rally today where instead of signs about deportation, the audience was holding “bigger paychecks” signs

OH suddenly we’re running on affordability? I thought that was a Democrat hoax!

Also, destroying the world’s economy and killing innocent schoolgirls is a choice.

Although it’s odd how he had to be like “I hurt American girls but look I hurt Iranian girls MORE so you love me again” and they all sucked his fucked up little knob

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)

He's desperately looking for pretexts to rig or completely cancel the 2026 election.

The idiot was calling himself the "peace president" and anyone dumb enough to buy that is probably not thrilled about another war. And anyone smart enough to see through his nonsense wasn't going to vote for him anyway.

There are some spectacularly incompetent morons in this administration, but I think even they could figure out that starting a war with Iran wasn't going to win people over.

[–] i_am_not_a_robot@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The Epstein files are the distraction. The United States government, particularly but not exclusively Trump and his appointees, is committing a new crime every week but everyone keeps going back to the probable suspicion that Trump was involved in the sexual abuse of minors years ago. There is no way that Trump will be removed from office because of the Epstein files when the Department of Justice is running an illegal coverup for him. Complaining that the DOJ is withholding files that probably exist about something that Trump probably did is too abstract for anything to happen in Congress. Get them out for the recent crimes that aren't just probablies first and then talk about the Epstein files when over half of the government isn't trying to cover them up.

Key word here is partially.

Was it a factor? Absolutely.

Was it the main consideration? Could be, but that's far less certain.

This isn't going away, and I sure hope the GOP doesn't change tack. It has absolutely destroyed their independent support. The GOP have lost 251 out of the 281 special elections held since Trump was re-elected and that number increased with the elections last week. Standouts have been a 31 point flip in Texas and a 17 point flip in Louisiana.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Yeah. I don't think MTG's district is gonna flip, but it's funny that the race is even that close.

a bar chart from the linked article, showing a partisan split on whether Trump attacked Iran to distract from the Epstein files

Also, this:

Overwhelmingly, voters believe the war will make their lives worse. The survey was in the field before the wild volatility in the oil market, but even then, 49% of voters said the war “will make my life more difficult” compared to just 10% who said they’d see an improvement. One third said it would have no impact.

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

And of course the Magats suddenly stop believing the conspiracy theories when it's their fuhrer that is the in the middle of it all. Truly the R stands for retard.

[–] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus 16 points 2 days ago (5 children)

"is Trump more responsive to the American people or Israel" why the fuck is that even a question!! Trump would gladly massacre every American if it would please his master and you better fucking believe it, the only reason they haven't is because they need meat to throw at Iran, Palestine, Venezuela and everyone else that dares to get in their way!

[–] everett@lemmy.ml 12 points 2 days ago

It's a question because this is an opinion poll.

I mean Lindsay Ladybug Graham just stated yesterday that he’s stands with Israel above all else. Well done voters, well fucking done.

These fucking weak minded yanks are absolutely beyond fucked at this point.

Good luck spreading your military across the planet you child raping pieces of shit. This is how your empire will fall, but enjoy sending your sons and daughters to a modern day hamburger hill because you think being American is the best thing and will follow whatever your pedo pres and bourbon drinking sec of war tell you to do. Anything to protect their innocence I guess. Your life is a willing sacrifice. Maybe he’ll wear a ball cap at your kids transfer ceremony.

I look forward to hearing the death of Trump and hopefully the rest of the cabinet.

Every. Single. Fucking. One. Of. Them.

America is Israel’s little bitch, and to the mod of this sub, criticizing Israel isn’t antisemitic! You need to learn that meaning before you delete comments based on your lack of understanding.

[–] spinner@discuss.online 2 points 2 days ago

at this point the whole republican party is rotten to the core. They need to be completely abandoned.

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Which is exactly what you want to distract from the Greater Iceland plan. Or was it Greater Ireland? No, Greater Italy. Still doesn't sound right. It'll come back to me.

It's because he did that they think that. He also is a crazy psycho ruled by a shadow government behind the scenes.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Why would he need a distraction from the epstein files when he has zero chance of being held accountable for anything in the epstein files?

If the concern is losing votes, how is doing another horrific and unpopular thing helping him?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

He was probably told that bombing brown people would give him a huge surge in support. Problem is, the only people that get excited about such things tend to be the supporters he already has...
