Communists like homeowners. Communists want there to be more homeowners. Communists don't like landlords, whose very existence necessarily means there are going to be less homeowners. It's very simple!

wow stop hating homeowners this is so mean actually please tip your landlord at least 20%

100% they're conflating people who own the home they live in, with landlords.

"I never specified whose home they owning!"

Yes leftist, famously against housing for everyone

The home ownership rate in NYC is around 33%, as opposed to the state average of 51% and national average of 66%. If you care about home ownership in NYC and you're not complaining first and foremost about landlords then you're a clown.

Can we go back to the reddit atheist style of argument on just calling out fallacies?

Sorry Atlantic, but this is a strawman fallacy. Therefore I’m right and you’re wrong.

This is just “communists hate “the family” and no I’ll never interrogate the details” but about this instead because one of these overpaid dipshits heard a leftist talk about how mortgages and housing related debt are used to deradicalize and co-opt workers into the system

This is the fucking shit that they trot out to contest with ideas like social murder, it’s pathetic

Tldr they're saying house is an atm machine that's good for workers allowing them to take on more debt instead of having it be affordable for new workers.

Supply side bs

Of course nobody will be big enough to admit they got confused about what "malign" means

The amount of people who own homes in this city is astronomically low, furthermore single family and low density housing should never be something to strive for
