Currently sitting through food handler training for like the third time, apparently I have to do this like every 2-3 years until I get a different job or die because the state thinks I'm going to somehow forget absolutely basic shit like "40-145°F is the temperature danger zone" which i promise you is not gonna happen. Why can't I just get a certification that says i'm built different and don't need to do this over and over and over again

I have to do an annual HIPPA training and I literally never come anywhere near patients or their information, I work with mice. But because it’s in the college of medicine I have to do it every year. It’s insane.

Please do not expose the medical conditions of the mice

That fucking sucks

View it as service to your comrades! I for one am very happy that you personally are educated in food safety. Who knows when I will patronize somewhere you work.

The thing is it's not really service, I'm not learning anything, i'm just sitting being talked at for a mandated 4 hours about things like "did you know you need to wash your hands?" and I so very much do not need it.

As soon as they let me take the actual exam i was done literally as quickly as my brain could register the questions and make my hand check a box.

bureaucracy is legit the strongest argument for anarcho primitivism

[–] ComradeRat@hexbear.net 4 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Communism should also abolish bureaucracy

But the time its taking makes me wish for thermonuclear annihilation

bureaucracy is marvelous and lovely when it works BUT the moment it doesnt work oh boy does it suck for the people that have to deal with it.

'Bureaucracy' is a nebulous term for most who take it to mean either organisation or an organisation that's too Byzantine for my liking, rather than the definition used by most Marxists

How so? Bureaucracy is something communists want to minimize too, and they're successful in achieving that. When you can personally take care of 99% of things bureaucracy-related during working hours with your union rep by having a conversation and filling out a paper, bureaucracy stops being that bad. Most soviet emigrees complained about the vast and nefarious and labyrinthic bureaucracy in the west in comparison to the soviet world.
