google is android's biggest problem.

So why don’t more people use SIM PINs?

Because we have never heard of them?

Entering one PIN every time your phone reboots is one thing

How often do people reboot their phones these days?

Every 3-4 days for me, otherwise things get wonky

What android phone are you using? I can go fine for nearly a month. Would've been longer but need to reboot to apply security updates.

Pixel.

I have a LOT of apps (300+ user apps), I use my phone constantly for a lot of stuff.

I have a Realme phone and have similar number of apps and also multi task heavily. Fortunately, I have 12GB of RAM so reboot is not necessary.

RAM isn't what matters, it's how individual apps are designed - cleaning ram is automatic via OOM, or you can trigger it.

I can run an OOM cycle and it doesn't make the phone run longer, just better for now as the ram consumers get unloaded.

I have some apps that cause issues.

Mine is set to reboot after not being used for 6 hours for security in the event it is lost or stolen.

Yours reboots after you get a healthy 8 hour sleep?

[–] BuboScandiacus@mander.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Yeah

Just boot it everytime in the morning

Java is the biggest Android's headache.
