There's always Nikki Minaj, Kid Rock and Jellyroll. 🙄

Edit: Forgot to add Carrie Underwood.

[–] takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Jellyroll? I don't listen to him, but saw him on LA Fire charity concert and he seemed like a good dude. I'm surprised.

Also looking at Minaj face on the pictures it doesn't look like she is enjoying it. I think she hopes for pardon for her brother and trump has this as a condition. I have my doubts about him keeping his word.

The jury is still out IMO.

He said he's more or less naive to the political climate atm. (Likely due to him getting his life back in order) He did mention to reporters at the Grammys that he is starting to look at things now and that we'll all find out in about a week.

God how is this not satire? He's going to do some research on whether or not Nazis are bad.

[–] SilentStorms@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He's going to do some market research on whether he has more right-wing or left-wing fans.

All that shit is known. Case in point, how Ke$ha was blacklisted because she tried to hold Dr. Luke accountable. Also, that shit doesn't absolve her of marrying a fucking pedophile knowingly.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Oh, my bad. I meant you should reconsider about her being someone they should listen to because she won't be releasing a new album. Not because she's not a piece of shit anymore!

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Got it. LoL.

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 2 points 2 months ago

The only point that I will give to Nikki is that entertainment industry has more than enough pervs who prey on vulnerable people.

I also guess the point about how Democrats do take for granted black and LGBT voters.

[–] foodandart@lemmy.zip 41 points 2 months ago

Got a huge laugh out of that when the story dropped.

You know damn well that is the reason.

When Trump WINS, everyone loses.

When Trump LOSES, everyone loses.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 26 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Yes, when Trump, everyone loses.

Turning to the room: "When Franz Ferdinand drinks", he cried, "everybody drinks!" … Sure enough, just before sliding out the door, Der F. F., with a demonic grin, screamed: "And when Franz Ferdinand pays, everybody pays!"

I guess this is what a civil war is for isn't it?

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I assume he’s going to put cheap gold plastic plated bs all over it and inside it

[–] johnyreeferseed@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 months ago (2 children)

They were talking about in on NPR today. Apparently the front of the building previously had gold columns and he had them painted over white when he renamed it, absolutely baffling. Maybe it didn't look cheap enough.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Trump has a long history of ruining buildings. I remember reading how he purchased a building in New York that had some unique Art Deco installations. Some people (it was a museum I think) asked him if they could remove the installations so they could be preserved as he intended to renovate the building. He ordered the installations to be taken down and melted instead of allowing them to be preserved.

Found the article: https://news.artnet.com/art-world/donald-trump-bonwit-teller-friezes-met-2132673

He's such a loser.

[–] johnyreeferseed@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Yea I remember reading about that. The thing that's baffling to me is that he painted the gold parts white. Covering shit in gold paint has been his whole thing since like the 80s. If he painted the whole thing gold it wouldn't be quite as confusing to me.

[–] Airowird@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 months ago

Because he didn't make them gold.

Watch him repaint them during the "renovation" and proclaim how he made it so beautiful, instead of all that ugly white Obama had! (or some other complete bullshit lie)

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Who knows what goes in that honeycomb brain of his. He wasn't a bright man when he was younger, now who even knows.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He’s just ruining all of tax payer funded institutions. I hope we can reverse a good chunk of it after he croaks but who knows anymore.

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 1 points 2 months ago

Fuck that make modern better institutions that are also shaped like a big middle finger pointing at Florida.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

Is this the government efficiency I've heard so much about?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago (3 children)

When do they do this for the Melania movie?

"You cannot choose to not attend this movie, cuz we are taking it off the MARKET! So there!"

[–] titanicx@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's definitely coming off the market this week

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I hope they torrent two hours of somebody's ass with the name of her movie.

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

They should have just put out a Melania porno from Epstein’s blackmail videos. That had better marketing potential.

[–] Nebraska_Huskers@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

So I checked some local theaters Lincoln Omaha, and it seems like at every showing throughout the day there's one or two seats taken. If or didn't mean supporting ticket sales, I'd almost want to get a huge group of friends, dress in drag and pride flags and purchase every ticket around that person's seat.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

I wonder if some people are buying tickets and not attending.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Typical loser mentality.

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Trump is so pathetic

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 11 points 2 months ago (8 children)

That's exactly what it is. The Kennedy Center is box office poison. They surveyed the entertainment market, and there were NO takers. Even people who support him know that if they do a show there, it will be among their last.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Wait shit really?

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Officially, the Center will close for massive renovations. According to President Dumb-Dumb, two years of closure is the only way to bring the Kennedy Center to “the highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur.”

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 2 months ago

Just show the Melania movie non-stop, and make it a law that everyone who visits DC must see it.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

This is the answer.

(I love Wonkette, by the way. Ostensibly a site for satire, but more truthful than much of the so-called "serious" media.)

[–] dandylion@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 months ago

and he sharted his pants. still distracting from the files?
