Which ones?! Not once in my life have I ever been censored for using profanity on the internet. I've been banned for random death threats and inciting violent insurrection, sure- saying "butt"? Hell no. Shit, I get PMs asking me for more details when I mention my butt.
And it works every time when you and others get all riled up about it. Just like they want you to be. Itβs called rage bait.

In the main, it's not rage bait. It's an overreaction to automatic content moderation that really does demand censorship of terms like 'suicide' and 'pedophile' or mention of violent topics.
Does this need to be carried out to the commonly seen extreme? No, and people do do it for the lulz. Does that mean it's all just ragebait? Very much also no. It's almost entirely people being stupid, and a small number leaning into the irritating meme. Expressing frustration with that isn't a bad thing to do, especially if you ever want it to change.

The worst part is its some self censoring bullshit, no platform will flag your post for using the word "butt", I think it's some new phalanx of outrage warriors censoring themselves because they are religious about causing offense, and shame, and all that pearl clutching bullshit kids do to themselves these days. Swear on me fucking mum, this is not site moderation, it's the users doing it themselves, willingly, mark my words.

I've said it ad nausem - I'm not going to look for uncensored versions of memes I find because I don't care. If you do, great, go find it. In the meantime I'll be shitposting till my head explodes. I've posted over like 5k shitposts in the 2ish years I've been here because shitposting amuses me. Not much more to it than that.
