Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Epstein sex trafficker rapist says what?

[–] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 17 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm going to say the same thing I do every time Congress investigates the most obvious shit. We all fucking saw it with our own eyes. There's nothing to investigate and nothing to cover up. There it is like a big pile of shit for everyone to see and smell. Do something about it or just shut the fuck up and stop pretending it's anything but giving evil a pass.

Sometimes UNFORTUNATELY there's a thing called innocent until proven guilty without a shadow of a doubt. Which means there HAS to be an investigation, and ahem due process... you hear that in the back?? It's unfortunate that apparently they get to pick and choose who gets due process now.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Show me where Jonathan Ross is on trial at all. Maybe I missed a story. Show me where the 7 unnamed ICE agents who killed Alex Prettir are on trial.

Yes, I agree with due process. I believe this should be an open and shut case. I just don't see them having been arrested or any trials taking place.

For legal repercussions, of course. As citizens we are under no obligation to pretend we didn't see what we saw. Put me on a jury and show me that video and I'm done. I don't know what else someone is going to spend time looking into. Maybe the bottom of a rocks glass. Due process in court, 100%, but unless that video is doctored, we have them dead to rights.

shadow of a doubt.

Reasonable doubt.

When it comes to these nazis, it needs to be near certainty.. so I still stand by my idiom! But legally, you're correct. I am wrong.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

Whatever "honorable" and "honest" means from the mouth of a man who has never seen either.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 14 points 2 months ago

We know what they did and we know what happened. This is just giving Nazis time to cover their tracks.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 13 points 2 months ago

Oh like the investigation on you being the biggest pedophile rapist piece of shit the world has ever seen? Fat chance.

[–] Voroxpete@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 months ago

Blatant cover up. Got it.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

America is not ok a white guy was killed so we must investigate. Fuck the white woman who was murdered...

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Also, AFAIK, she was not carrying a gun. I think the fact that Alex had a weapon on him really breaks the brains of lots of conservatives.

[–] zippyhippynm@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 months ago

Cough, cough, (bullshit), cough, cough

[–] ruuster13@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 months ago

Dementia brain can't remember "thorough" or "accurate" but knows it needs to insert a couple adjectives before "investigation" for it to sound right.

[–] DCErik@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 months ago

What does he think those two words mean?

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Best we can offer you is a blatant coverup for the perpetrators and probably a declaration of martial law just in time for cancelling the midterms and final burial of the Epstein files.
