Raclette, which involves a lot of food besides the cheese prepared in little pans or on a grill.

Ending the year full of cheese is ideal
The worse the year the more cheese I eat. I just bought 1 kg.

You too. Really enjoy all your delicacies.
Whatever trash comes out of the vending machine at work π
Similarly eating at work, but my workplace provides a hot meal (though not necessarily time to eat it while it's still hot).
LSD
Truly The Essence of Pure Flavor
Box macaroni and cheese with frozen peas in it.
Lol my partner is going to be so into that.
We usually get blinis with caviar and CrΓ©mant. We haven't decided on anything else yet.
Oliebollen, and probably too many :)
Last year I had to stand in line for up to two hours to get a fresh batch on the 31st. Even appeared on local tv because of the huge line.
Not sure where and when Iβm going to get this yearβs batch, but I definitely donβt want to have a repeat of last year.
In denmark he have the tradition of eating kransekage which is only available in bakeries and grocery shops around new years eve.
After reading the wiki I can see why. π€€
fuck yeah!
Sauerkraut, onions, and kielbasa (as is tradition).
Will be eating something very common here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toshikoshi_soba?wprov=sfla1
Nice! the idea of relaxing food makes sense.
Iβm not sure about New Yearβs Eve, but New Yearβs Day is a big day for tradition with my wife. We always have pork, greens, and black eyed peas every New Yearβs Day. Itβs some sort of old tradition.
(When I made this post with voice dictation, it capitalized Black Eyed Peas, so I guess it thought that I was going to have Fergie and the boys over. π€)
I'm going over to hang out with my sister, we're ordering Indian food.
I'm suppose to make hoppin john on new years eve to eat on new years day but I may or may not remember. I think nothing for us watching the ball drop though. Maybe popcorn.
We're hosting some friends so I spent all day Saturday making tamales!
i miss tamales
My wife and I will have a quiet dinner together at home. At some point we started having lobster tail for New Years, and it's become kind of a tradition.
We have crab cakes, some snacks you heat in the oven (jalapeno poppers and bean empanadas), tinned fish like sardines and similar, and cheese and crackers. And a "champagne" the Cava Raventos Blanc Blanc de blancs which is the best bubbly white wine I have ever had and not even expensive.
New Year's Day is black eyed peas, collard greens, and potatoes. Yum.
local chinese takeaway! weve started doing it every NYE, as well as our usual one off takeaways. we have a really good one (people from all over our half of the country have said its the best chinese theyve had) so im quite looking forward to it :3
ah, a succulent Chinese meal
Ordering pizza and playing a game with my wife called "can we stay awake until midnight?" I won last year, it's about 50/50 this year.
The traditional new year's food of the place I grew up is pork roast and sour kraut cooked in a crock pot for about 8 hours, with mashed potatoes.
There's never anything to eat at my house.
