A journalist uncovered massive contracts for daycare facilities going to somalis that ended up being fraudulent. Some of them were worth billions of dollars.

I don't really care about this story. I just think people treat it more like tabloid news. And even if I was upset, what exactly am I going to do about it? I'm an ordinary citizen. I'd be better off worrying about problems that affect me in my day to day life then about this crime which happened 20 years ago and most of the victims have been paid off handsomely. Plus ghislane maxwell is in prison and epstein is dead. What more justice can they get?

People should focus more on issues that matter. Like UBI or the employment crisis. I wouldn't be surprised if this is being used as a distraction by politicians so they don't have to address real problems. It's like rome's bread and circuses.

Yeah but the media circus around this issue takes away from time we could be spent focusing on issues that I'm interested in talking about.

you have to care about both the same amount otherwise you're a hypocrite

you have to give each case the same amount of attention. it's hypocritical to care about these women but then not talk about the way larger group of women that faced way worse from the US army

It's funny to me that europeans can do insane shit like this but the world is against my ethnic group for literally just working jobs. God has a rough sense of humor.
