Dog picture tax? I would love to have a whippet or greyhound eventually.

Check out the Finnish brands Hurtta or Rukka. Great quality dogwear and Finland has harsh cold winters.

if you have an REI near you, their branded stuff is usually above average and if it doesn't hold up, you can get a refund or excange easily enough

I don’t, I have to order, but that’s a good idea. Checking now.

Isn’t the LL Bean city near by?

I have some Ruffwear boots that I pair with socks for my dog. I got them six years ago, so I'm not sure how the quality holds up now but I still use the boots every year in Montana. I will say I found their sizing guide to be true to size!

I went with the Ruffwear Polar Trex!

DeVil makes dalmatian knee highs that are to die for!

So much depends on what the specific conditions are. Someone else mentioned socks with ruffwear outers, and that also worked well with me ski mountaineering with my dog in the Cascades. In the winter I also had to keep his feet coated in musher's wax, and vary layers based on conditions. But setting out with a tin of musher's wax, socks, and outers for the paws should let you handle most scenarios. Musher's wax is a good fallback as well in the event a booty is lost and you need temporary coverage for a quick run to shelter.

Something with skinny ankles, maybe some with suspenders...
