Sorry to our War on Christmas soldiers out there fighting the good fight, my personal rotation is getting a little stale.

The Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack is the best Christmas album by a mile

[โ€“] Commie_Chameleon@hexbear.net 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It SO is but that's another one we've played just about to death lol

You probably are playing all the good ones through then

My #2 is the Ella Fitzgerald #3 Bublรฉ

Surprisingly good is the backstreet boys Christmas album, as is the Gwen Stefani

I'll have to check out Gwen Stefani's, and yeah Ella Fitzgerald is classic

I despise Christmas for so many reasons but I didn't immediately turn off Laufey's Christmas album when my wife turned it on so maybe try that?

Best I got is vocaloids singing Carol of the Bells

[โ€“] Moonworm@hexbear.net 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Would you care for Christmas parody covers of Green Day? https://redandgreenday.bandcamp.com/album/cookie

But for something standard, Wynton Marsalis's Crescent City Christmas Card is a standby of tolerable Christmas music for me. Carol of the Bells kicks ass swung. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F86XJI4YiJs&list=OLAK5uy_kNjYdnyCDoZrYRVme1KHfI4Bo3YOwxP0M&index=2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4TOEuw5ik8 This is my usual go-to, even as someone who's not a huge Christmas fan. RIP Mimi
