Choosing neither? He chose Haaaaaavard Where he created Sp0*kbook / Facemash then got poached by the NSA/CIA.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Facebook#FaceMash

Facemash was a website designed to evaluate the attractiveness of female Harvard students.

He did go to Harvard though? Or did David Fincher lie to me?

[–] djsaskdja@reddthat.com 19 points 3 months ago

I made Hot or Not dot com for Harvard so my bros know who the hottest fuckable sluts on campus are. Then I sold everyone's data to the feds and now we have Facebook, and I'm burning down the planet so we can have AI VR with no legs, TRILLION DOLLARS PLEEEEEEEASE!

This is a good tweet for 2021. Are the fine details correct? No, the other comments are picking on 'em.

But at least one mom or grandma saw the bigger point and thought, "Oh, maybe Mark Zuckerberg only got where he is because he was already wealthy" and started on a path that later opened their eyes to class consciousness and now has friends at the wine club or bingo game who are sick of hearing them talk about the tech bro oligarchs and guillotines all the time.

It's not just a fine detail if you say he didn't go to Harvard when he clearly did. That's just a straight up lie.

There is no honor in being the child of the wealthy.

If that child does something cool everyone says it is because their parents are rich.

If that child does something less than cool or mediocre everyone says they could have done so much more if they were the rich child.

And if that child does something bad everyone says look how much more horrible they are they came from privilege.

There is no honor for the children of the rich. And if their family doesn't like that child ... if you have a bad relationship with your parents imagine if they could use money freely to fuck with your life ... it sounds unpleasant from here.

they dont care, they can just buy honor later

[–] Crucible@hexbear.net 26 points 3 months ago

We have all these emojis but no Martok for me to use any time I see the word 'honor' picard

Dishonor on you. Dishonor on your cow. Dishonor on your whole family

Yeah it must be so hard never having to worry about money.

Who gives a shit about honor of the rich? They've never had any, because they're fucking rich.

Give the wealth away and help actual people if they're concerned about being honorable.

Or you could just be self-conscious, work a normal ass job, advocate for wealth equality, and try to be a decent person to others?

I know several rich kids who do that and are fine. Nobody ever holds it against them for being normal or even just a bit annoying. The issue is that there are a lot of them who try to compensate for their parent's success by exploiting everyone around them or use their position to create academic justifications about how everything is great for everyone and nothing needs to change actually.
