Honestly, as chip fabs spool down and we forget how to make them, the only computers that will be around in a couple decades are old 8086 and maybe G4 power PC based chips. The larger node sizes have lifetimes measured in the centuries while the smaller nodes have lifetimes measured in years.
Chip production is something that can just be forgotten if no one is doing it.
