The success of these mergers is amazing. You can feel the savings all over your face and head and arms. It might smell like piss, taste like piss but it's savings people.

Sooooooo they “have” the money to buy out Warner Bros, but somehow don’t have the money to sustain subscription prices. Funny how economics works.

Damn, all these services raising prices I just discovered my illegal downloading sites are increasing their price by 5,000%!!!
From £0.00 to £0.00, can't believe it.

This will definitely get people to stop torrenting movies and shows, David.

I do love how they're raising prices for all to give away UFC for free, so basically if I was a subscriber, I'd pay a higher monthly fee for something I don't care about.

All the homies hate Paramount

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Eh, unfortunately, Paramount is Star Trek and Avatar.

I hope and don't hope at the same time you mean Avatar - The Last Airbender.

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Yep. All of Nickelodeon is theirs.

Happy to not give a dime to Ellison / Kushner.

[–] chisel@piefed.social 18 points 2 days ago

Yet Mullvad VPN is still 5€/month.

[–] krooklochurm@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

If the mullvad mole were real I'd let it live in my asshole rent free

Oracle is a debt time bomb and the Ellisons are going to vaporize every asset they've put their hands on as a result.

[–] uncouple9831@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

As much as I want that to be true, bad things don't seem to happen to bad people.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

YMMV. But there's no divine justice, that's for certain

[–] uncouple9831@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

I'm now out of streaming services. I guess back to video games.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

lol. I just got an offer from these losers for $1/mo no ads for a couple of months.

Stremio set to keep prices frozen for this year too, keep unlimited free trial also after New Year.
