Why is everyone shocked by this shit? Law one order only applies to those of us that stand against childfucking fascists. The moment you support King Kidfucker with donations in the billions, you’ll be under his kidfucking protection like the rest of them.

If you’re lucky- you might not even have to fuck any kids.

Just so everyone knows, this juvenile who was supposed to be tried as an adult, choked his girl friend to unconsciousness multiple times and raped her.

[–] Chaotic_Altruist@lemmy.zip 5 points 9 hours ago

Involved two girls, not just her

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 55 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

This is brutal:

The second victim also told investigators that in mid-summer 2024, Jesse Butler sexually assaulted her after he recorded strangling her to unconsciousness. A detective later searching Butler’s phone wrote that she found video of at least one incident matching the timeframe.

Strangled her to unconsciousness... so badly she needed surgery to fix her neck and is still physically recovering.

Let me guess... the old "He's a good boy, think of his future!" defense?

Brock Allen Turner? The rapist?

[–] classic@fedia.io 21 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

No, we're talking about Brock Allen Turner the rapist of unconscious women.

Just don't want anyone to be confused

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 15 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

You mean Brock Allen Turner, the reason why Florida finally brought their rape laws up to par with 1920s-rest-of-the-world?

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 12 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Yup, Brock Allen Turner who is now going by Allen Turner to try to disguise his recent past of being a convicted rapist. That Allen Turner (formerly Brock Turner).

[–] dogslayeggs@lemmy.world 10 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

No, it's the "he was charged as a minor as a 17 year old and fulfilled his 6 months of probation and education."

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 19 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

Butler, who was age 16 and 17 at the time of the offenses, was previously denied a request to be charged as a juvenile. But during a July 24 hearing, his status was changed to youthful offender, granting him the chance for rehabilitation and less severe punishment than what an adult would receive.

You're leaving out the fact that the judge actively changed Butler's status to make this slap on the wrist possible. This wasn't a guaranteed thing just because of his age.

[–] dogslayeggs@lemmy.world 8 points 11 hours ago

Thanks, that detail was not in the other story I read on this. If you go into the other thread on Lemmy about this, you'll see people defending this action by the judge.

[–] lemmylump@lemmy.world 12 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Susan Worthington is the judge she should be removed from the courts.

Oklahoma you need to clean up your trash.

I saw OSU and figured there was more "Gym Jordan" stuff going on at Ohio State. Right idea, wrong OSU.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 17 points 11 hours ago

Son of male sports figure is a rapist, is such a common occurrence I suppose they must brag about exploiting women sexually a lot and their sons decide it's acceptable.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 25 points 12 hours ago

Jesus loves rape! Just ask your pastor or an Oklahoma Senator

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 10 points 11 hours ago

Glad there are protests, Jesse raped.

[–] Tedesche@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

For anyone looking for an explanation for this:

The city of Stillwater is in north-central Oklahoma, just over 60 miles northeast of Oklahoma City and about 70 miles west of Tulsa.

This again? Charging minors as adults is an abuse of the criminal justice system.

Insisting on it

Butler, who was age 16 and 17 at the time of the offenses, was previously denied a request to be charged as a juvenile.

is worse until

But during a July 24 hearing, his status was changed to youthful offender, granting him the chance for rehabilitation and less severe punishment than what an adult would receive.

as they always should have: respecting the distinction between crimes by adults & minors is just.

Butler received a sentence that requires him to "complete his rehabilitation plan successfully, including an aggressive schedule of therapy with a specialist in sex offender treatment

Under the plea, Butler must also attend weekly counseling sessions and check-in with his probation officer until his 19th birthday

Light sentences for crimes by juveniles are normal for good reason. However

and should he fail, he faces reclassification as an adult and a sentence of ten years in prison."

is still an unjust abuse of the criminal justice system.
