The only way you'd ever be cut from a family here is if you were a national traitor
We wouldn't be disagreeing and cutting people off over political issues if we stopped making the right to exist a political issue.
Politics have gotten extreme enough that it is no longer just differences of opinion and really falls under the category of "fundamental personal values."
It's difficult to engage with others productively when people oppose each other on core values.
