I want a McDonald's. There's something specific about the smell of mcdonalds food in the bag, like a mix of grease, beef, potatoes, and recycled paper products that make me feel like a heroin user getting the first hit of the day

Upvote for art classroom- that's a great idea, and if that candle exists then I need it

Gasoline. Would kill to have a scent like it without the cancer risk.

steam deck vent smell

Lantana, burnt diesel, petrichor, mango sap.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 2 points 1 month ago

Ugh I love the smell of lantana πŸ’š

[–] spykee@lemmings.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Petrichor is available as perfumes. Spray it where you fancy and bob's your uncle.
For your mango kink, go test Wanted By Night By Azzaro. To me, it smells like mango leaves/mango seed, ymmv.

Fog machine fluid. Love that smell. (I realise I could just get a fog machine, but it's funnier as a candle.)

Smells like maple syrup to me

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I smelled a tomato one the other day. That kind of weedy vine smell. Loved it.

[–] LastYearsIrritant@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Umm... Tomato Vine scented candles already exist and are pretty popular.

Yeah they said they smelled one the other day……

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

They asked β€œnon-traditional”, but I’ll let you have it. You knew tomato candles before me! Woah!

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

The green part of the tomato? The stem and such? Lovely, amazing scent.

When you have a lot of McDonald’s in the car it smells like actual garbage.

I love unboxing some new tech, but why an access point specifically?

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 month ago

Wrong kind of access point...

[–] Magnum@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Probably he likes accessing that point

[–] Xanadu@feddit.online 5 points 1 month ago

New car scent

[–] jacksilver@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Bakery/the smell bread makes while it's rising.

Actually you can buy that. I got mine from Country Home Candle I think it was called? Small Canadian company, but they all buy scent oils from the same places so you can probably find that scent from a business local to you.

Coffee, but not that traditional mocca smell which smells like nothing natural but the smell of fresh bag of coffee beans

[–] TheFeatureCreature@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

Tea.

That smell of a freshly opened container of black tea leaves is lovely.

[–] _deleted_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 month ago

Vegemite. That first heady whiff of yeast and salt when you open a new jar.

If I could get a candle that smelled like the purple kush hemp strain I got back in the day, that'd be great. It had such an amazing fruity pebbles smell.

[–] Banana@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

Hockey rink

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I would use cigarettes as incense if it were safe and didn't leave a permanent stank

[–] TheReanuKeeves@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I was just shopping for essential oils and saw tobacco there

I actually don't like the smell of tobacco, oddly enough. I just like the way cigarette smoke smells lol

[–] limer@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago

The smell you get when your mom runs the household vacuum cleaner from the late 2000s / early 2010s at noon on Sunday.
