Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

TL;DR: We are letting Israel grab more land after the invasion and ethnic cleansing.

What a truly abhorrent thing to see in modern times.

Don’t forget: I’m nearly certain that part of the regime’s plan is to build a Trump Tower Gaza. And if Hamas or whoever decided that it needs to be… exothermically rearranged, well, I think that would be lovely.

And by "we," you mean Trump and the Republicans.

You truly believe the outcome would have been that different under Kamala? What did Biden do to stop Israel? Oh yeah, he sent them more money and weapons.

When land theft ever stopped. Both parties let it hspprned since 48

Yeah but, that woman didn’t win.

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's been a year. Stop riding her dick when she barely tried to win. Find a local community support network and start actually helping out.

she barely tried to win.

Fuck off with this bullshit lie. All the fucking dumbasses that voted against her because of Gaza deserve to be criticized every fucking day for their incredible shortsightedness.

Gaza was far from her only weakness as a candidate, but okay

She lost my vote when she cozied up to the war criminal Dick Cheney, but that was not my only issue with her.

So you voted for Trump, because you knew that a vote not against Trump was a vote for Trump.

That’s perfectly fine. I enjoy the fact that you are getting the day you voted for.

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world -1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

This argument always makes me feel so powerful as a third-party voter. Democrats say voting third party is the same as voting Republican. Republicans say voting third party is the same as voting Democrat. It's like I've got triple the votes of a normal voter.

Continue to seethe and watch Democrats learn nothing from their failure.

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Im glad you enjoyed your Trump vote. 🤷‍♂️

I’m all for a better system, but this was the last chance at that system. Oh well. Time to move lol

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Textbook privileged liberal response, well done.

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 1 points 3 months ago

You’re the same as me

[–] markko@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

I'd be very surprised if the number of people who actually did that was anywhere near enough to have affected the results.

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe -1 points 3 months ago

I think it wasn’t Gaza, but a no-vote is a Trump vote so it doesn’t really matter why.

[–] FlyingCircus@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

And everyone who "held their nose" deserve to be criticized every fucking day for their refusal to hold their candidate to a bare minimum standard of ethics, thereby allowing her to run a "status quo" campaign that failed to motivate voters.

I don't actually believe that, because I don't believe that voters have any real power in the US to begin with, but maybe you can see how ridiculous you are for blaming the tiny percentage of people with ethics for the failings of your candidate?

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

You are just mad that it's not your side who is supporting israel genocide right now. Both parties are complicit in it. It doesn't matter who is the lesser of the two evils

So the US and Israel suck, of course.

Fuck them both.
