I’m reminded of a guy named that Otto Frank that fought for the German Empire in WWI. Lived through the fucking Somme. Later on had to hide in an attic with his family, including his daughter Anne. Can’t figure out why he’s on my mind.

I know we talk a lot about fuck the troops here but this does make me more mad than other similar situations.

Regardless of anything else the government has responsibility for those who have served it, regardless of reason. For all of the terrible things that have happened the disloyalty to those who bled for you makes me a special kind of mad.
