Better headline: “Millions Will Die. Panic Is Appropriate”

You misspelled a word.

Hey, aiClimateChange - is climate change a threat to life on this planet?

Short answer: no! Long answer:.... [It give 57 bullet points. 54 of them are clearly wrong. And the other 3 are basically gibberish.]

The article was published two weeks ago. And nearly all of the American MSM ignored it.

Why wouldn't they?

We will not be able to recover from 1.5c, this is our new reality

We would be able to recover if we also weren't fucking up the biosphere in a hundred other ways.

To refresh my memory - I'm tempted to look for articles from around 2012 to 2016 - in other words Obama's second term. I assume the average lib website was cautiously optimistic with a "we got this" tone that global temperatures would stay under 1.5C until 2100. And I assume sometime very soon - with a similar "we got this" tone - the very same websites will start talking about the "unfortunate necessity of geoengineering".

The US is the boiling frog. The goalposts keep moving, new PR bullshit emerges, and we get closer to boiling to death.

I’m sure they’ll get right on that

We have only ourselves to blame. Not getting rid of billionaires is active suicide.
