Elon Musk has long made a habit of hyper-focusing on a specific project, forcing an entire team to attend to his every whim while letting his other responsibilities fall by the wayside — whether it’s his obsession with Robotaxis impacting Tesla or his weird procreation kink disrupting the private messages of countless women.

The latest object of Musk’s obsession? According to new reporting by the Wall Street Journal, he’s been personally overseeing the developing of xAI’s chatbot Ani — which, tellingly, comes in the form of a super-sexualized pigtail-wearing woman that removes her clothing in response to flirtation.

What a fucking LOSER!

Literally the most money in the world and he still can’t get a girlfriend - it’s just too funny

[–] ashenone@lemmy.ml 79 points 2 months ago

Some people are so poor the only thing they have in the world is money

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 25 points 2 months ago (4 children)

Wealthy men just attract prostitutes.

[–] scrion@lemmy.world 55 points 2 months ago (4 children)

Nothing wrong with prostitutes. Often, plenty of stuff is wrong with prostitution, but let's leave the prostitutes out of it.

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 31 points 2 months ago

The point is that they only attract women who are willing to have sex as a transaction. They can't attract anyone who wants an actual relationship.

[–] Banana@sh.itjust.works 32 points 2 months ago (3 children)

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This worth a TRILLION Dollars!

She responds like Chat GPT...."great idea!, let me work out a business plan."

Only until the bubble pops. His pay is likely mostly in stock, and when the dominoes fall, it'll get ugly.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 months ago (3 children)

His pay is in stock, which he has heavily leveraged with loans. He should talk to his girlfriend about leveraging a house of cards.

He actually makes no money he just borrows against his perceived value from some pretty dumb banks.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (7 children)

Stop saying he doesn't make money when he clearly do.

He's only owning industries, that's not cash!!

He gets money but it's loans against his industries so it doesn't count!!

Grrr...

Elon Musk isn't just the biggest douche in the universe. He's the patriarch of douche-dom worldwide.

i hope the AI divorces him too

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 31 points 2 months ago (1 children)

And his AI children hate him.

[–] qupada@fedia.io 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

In this one moment it's almost a shame that AGI is a lie, as it'll only be able to hate him due to the sum of all of us hating him the training has stolen, but is incapable of hating him independently.

I more convinced every day that Tesla has a file server on their network hosting terabytes or more of HD video of anyone who's had sex in their cars from multiple angles.

[–] Meron35@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Let's change more convinced to fully convinced. Tesla employees were allegedly sharing intimate images and videos captured from their cars in private group chats (emphasis plural), which means that stuff has been on multiple file servers since 2019.

Tesla workers shared images from car cameras, including “scenes of intimacy” - Ars Technica - https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/04/tesla-workers-shared-images-from-car-cameras-including-scenes-of-intimacy/

[–] kadu@scribe.disroot.org 10 points 2 months ago

They probably have the servers ready to ingest, but no actual footage. Tesla owners aren't having sex.

[–] hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 43 points 2 months ago (1 children)

At least he can't have a kid with it.

[–] GratefullyGodless@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Yet. That's going to be his next project.

[–] fireweed@lemmy.world 38 points 2 months ago (4 children)

Article buries the lede:

Even worse, xAI has demanded employees’ intimate data to train avatars including Ani. In recording of a meeting obtained by the WSJ, xAI legal counsel Lily Lim informed a group of employees that the startup was developing avatars for users to engage with and told them they were required to provide biometric data. Before the meeting, employees were provided a form to sign granting xAI “a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, royalty-free license” for the use, reproduction and distribution of their faces and voices.

Not sure I have a problem with anyone working to build AI having to put their biometric data where their mouth is.

[–] interrobang@lemmy.blahaj.zone 28 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (4 children)

I worry about the precedent it sets. Employers should NOT expect anyone's extensive biometrics, that makes my skin crawl.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

God I hope at least some folks walked or refused to sign without lawyers.

I legitimately think he got high on his own supply with X. People and bots feeding his narcissism, and right wing misinformation and disinformation galore created who he is today.

And now he's huffing his own AI sex bot. It all tracks.

Trillions of dollars in money and resources, for a wanking machine that would be considered pathetic cringe in the 2000's

[–] bizzle@lemmy.world 22 points 2 months ago

It is pathetic cringe now, too

[–] sampao@lemmy.ml 21 points 2 months ago

But how is he going to get her pregnant?

[–] SanPe_@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago

No one deserves a salary of 1,000 billion dollars. But this guy deserves it even less than anyone else.

[–] ZoteTheMighty@lemmy.zip 20 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Honestly, I know this community is called "fuck AI", but I'm gonna call this a win.

This is how Nice Guys assume the world should work

[–] Tigeroovy@lemmy.ca 17 points 2 months ago

It’s the only one he can force to interact with him. Even the bribes aren’t enough to keep any of the previous ones around.

Doesn’t help that he’s a deadbeat dad despite all his money.

[–] Rothe@piefed.social 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hopefully it convinces him to end himself.

So xAI members were effectively required to provide photos of their face and bodies for the AI to use, and when a female staffer expressed concerns she'd be DeepFake'd she was ignored.

Why the fuck do people want to work there? There are better companies doing the same thing.

Oh yeah, those robo taxis again that would make no financial sense not to buy them!

So where are they, exactly? Must be millions by now as he promised, right?

Right?

Remember when he bitched out of his fight with Mark Zuckerberg?

That moment in time when Zuckerberg was kinda/sorta the good guy with balls. He emasculated Musk without even having to fight him.

[–] YesButActuallyMaybe@lemmy.ca 14 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

There were no good guys in this. The are both billionaire assholes. Just slightly less shit is still shit.

[–] lechekaflan@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

It does not help that there are some opportunists riding on his obsession -- such as actually cosplaying the said character -- if only for the attention and possible revenue (from mostly men) it could also bring to them.

Also, Butlerian Jihad When?

[–] cronenthal@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 2 months ago

Humanoid robot, Ai girlfriend? If he does what I think he's doing he might finally be worth his billion. And destroy humanity.

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 months ago (3 children)

"You're right!" "Great thinking!" Of course that narcissistic fuck loves someone like that.
