Bro down bad so bad

it’s nice to know that, to you, all we are is the last resort. the thing you’ll fuck when no one else wants to fuck you. just so long as you can drown yourself in beer to forget, of course.

it’s so nice to know that 🙃

right now im on Fedora KDE! it works well enough for me, it’s modern, it looks good, and most importantly (for me) it supports fractional scaling well (my laptop needs fractional scaling and that’s been the thorn in my foot for a while)

many people will go back, but of these, i’m sure many will also come back eventually

i’ve tried a bunch of distros in my last 2 years with windows. many didn’t satisfy my needs at the time, so i stayed on windows.

but now, it’s been over a year since I definitely switched to linux, and over 6 months since i nuked (accidentally, but shhh) my windows partition. and i don’t plan on going back anytime soon.

we should still talk about how expensive and gatekeepy trans healthcare is. yes you can be trans without HRT or surgeries, but how many people don’t have them because they don’t want them, VS how many people don’t have them because they can’t have them?

it seems peertube removed the platform from the joinpeertube website, so that’s a relief at least

its a tough one cause it is a prison rape joke, those are obviously bad and that doesn’t change here

but i won’t lie, i kinda feel like serial rapists like trump deserve to feel what it’s like to be on the other end, for once

Switch 2 NDK

the Noftware Development Kit?

i've noticed lately that there seems to be federation issues with lemmy.world. i don't receive updates from communities or users there, and looking at my profile from lemmy.world, it's missing a few comments that were posted in the last days, when usually it's much much quicker to update.

even when looking at .world communities on here when not logged in, they seem to be stuck in the past! for example, from here the last post from !games@lemmy.world is from 5 days ago, but on .world there are many more recent posts.

does anyone else have issues with them? are we blocking them, or are they blocking us?

does anyone know what would cause this precisely? why would anti-fingerprinting mess with the colors i use to edit an image in the browser?

i'd be tempted to brush this off as the website being malicious and lying to get me to deactivate fingerprinting protection, but the website is fully open-source and what they describe happened to me on Piskel (a pixel art editor, which would constantly mess up my colors in subtle but annoying ways)

For the past few years any time there’s a public shooting, political or not, fascists immediately begin pushing a narrative that the shooter had some connection to the trans community, anarchist or communist politics, to migrant or Black communities. These are always tenuous claims but now with multiple racist lynchings following Kirk’s death, it’s time to recognize the danger of these kinds of mythmakings. They are calls to violence.
