Damn... in this episode... Bwaaa learns that he has another half brother who is from China.

It's a really good juxtaposition between the footage of American soldiers lining up at a food bank last week while Chinese pioneers are in the heavens above, literally in a structure called the Heavenly Palace, eating steak.

Kind of shows how far things have come since Korea, where the Chinese volunteers were rationing unseasoned boiled potatoes and the American GIs were having freshly cooked turkey.

missing SNAP payments

That's the fucking punchline. They're on food stamps to begin with, and now they've lost both their paychecks and their food stamps because of their king.

Hey, new to this whole "history" thing. Is it a good thing when your imperial army has to ration food/rely on charity when they're not on campaign?

And youre also trying to start a campaign every other week in a new part of the world.

I kinda feel like that attached image needs a content warning.

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 13 points 5 months ago (1 children)

i think by normal site rules, at least 2 of them

[–] Erika3sis@hexbear.net 16 points 5 months ago

Welp, Yuritopia added at least one of those content warnings now, but not necessarily the one I personally found most pressing.

Could you please also add a content warning for (cartoon depiction of) suicide (by shotgun)...?

Edit: Thank you

How do they manage the grease? There is bound to be some, even in chicken. I would think it's worse than water because it never evaporates and just stains everything if it starts floating.

I imagine the interactions that make it sputter are harder to get going in zero g, but also it's not a true grill, it's a convection oven. Probably has a filter in the air circulation. Still a crazy feat.

Ever see astronauts experiment with water and just kind of make a glove out of it? I think the grease will largely just stay stuck to the meat. No gravity to cause it to drip down and pull it away?🤔

hey babe the chinese got an air fryer on their space station why can't we get one?

edit: but babe we could make bitchin potato skins in it!

I suppose I never really thought about it but yeah, a conventional oven wouldn't really work in space. So that's basically an air fryer of sorts? (yes I know, convection ovens are the standard term)

Cool!
