This has to be fake. No MAGA idiot is ever this self-aware or coherent.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 46 points 2 months ago (4 children)

If people are making fake posts like this I am completely fine with it. It will only further influence the real magats to maybe see the light. Even if one voter is swayed the cost is worth it.

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 33 points 2 months ago

Yeah I see what you're saying, but it's only giving false hope like we don't need to try anymore because MAGA is finally realizing. They won't. They never will, which is why they are MAGA.

There were thousands of people on their deathbeds in the hospital, with their dying breaths, saying COVID wasn't real. These people are too far gone. It's over for them trying to participate in our society.

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago

Or it will be one small piece of a larger problem that causes them to ignore anything that disagrees with their world view

The amount of bullshit being shared as truth has caused a lot of people to be much more willing to dismiss real facts as fake

Surprised so many around here caught on! Yeah, the X post is liberal fan faction. It would have been believable if it wasn't over the top in 4 ways.

This can't be real; spelling and punctuation is too good.

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 115 points 2 months ago

Also, self reflection and the ability to reassess, coupled with some humility.

No way this isn't satire.

[–] I_Has_A_Hat@lemmy.world 72 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Fuck outta here with this fake BS.

So, in 2016 I read a couple opinion pieces about the rise of Trump, and how liberal/leftist elitism played a major part because the rank and file of the right felt as if we were looking down on them, and it made me really introspective. Were we being exclusionary? Should we focus more on kindness and understanding? It would be hard to ignore or push aside some of their hateful rhetoric to meet then where they are and help guide them out, but maybe that is what needs to happen.

In 2025? Fuck that, and fuck you. I'll still vote for your best interests, march with you, vote with you and not mock you or disown you for your past, but you have to swallow your pride and admit you were wrong first. If you can't do that, you deserve the Trump-dozer that will roll over you.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 28 points 2 months ago

The democrats started the mantra of "take the high road". The only thing that did was piss off the right and they got worse. There is no reasoning with MAGA. They won't stop until their perceived enemies are suffering, even if that includes their own suffering along side them.

Kathy is suffering, but when her legs are gone she will still be eating Trumps asshole.

[–] stretch2m@infosec.pub 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I am looking down on them, because they're stupid.

[–] hanrahan@piefed.social 11 points 2 months ago

As Cipolla suggested, a stupid person is the most dangerous person in the world .. Why? you don't understand them and they'll act in ways that hurt you and themselves.

It's "Its," not "It's".

It's correct in the original

Not only am I pedantic, I love to fight my autocorrect.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oh goddammit, I actually "fixed" that, original was correct.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Basically it's because "it" is a pronoun, so the possessive acts like his and hers.

Eeyore lost his tail

The gloomy plush donkey lost its tail

Oh, look, it's (it is) hanging by Owl's door!

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

😆 I am well aware. Somehow my brain farted and "corrected" the headline.

Sometimes my brains asks, "Whose tail? Eeyore's tail! Eeyore lost it's tail." Ugh. Still, asking who or what a thing belongs to is my main clue. :)

Yes, English is my first language. Yes, always excelled at it and other languages. Yes, growing old.

Old fart myself, completely understand. And you get 💯 ⭐ for good attitude.

No Kathy, I want you to laugh.

I want you to laugh as loud and as boisterously as you can.

Laugh while they’re amputating your leg, Kathy. Laugh while they deny you unemployment and medical care. Find someone who tried to vote to keep all this for you, get right in their face, and laugh a rank, toothless laugh in their commie lib face.

I SAID FUCKING LAUGH BITCH

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 months ago

I know I'm laughing.

A 3-month supply of Metformin costs under $7 without insurance. This isn't a real situation, at least not for the person who wrote this.

[–] unmagical@lemmy.ml 21 points 2 months ago (3 children)

She needs society to come together and help cover the costs of her healthcare through some sort of social safety net?

Are there any words to describe that kinda thing?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago

Leopards ate my leg

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 11 points 2 months ago

Thoughts and prayers.

[–] Tattorack@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

This sounds so on the nose and stupid that it could be a troll post. But... I've heard people IRL tell me incredibly stupid things like this, so I can't actually be sure.

[–] GuyLivingHere@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 months ago

Lady was already blind by voting that way. No sympathy. Enjoy hell.

[–] redlemace@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

But still the username ........

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 3 points 2 months ago

Yeah, they tried to hide the fact they were actually named "Karen."

[–] Devjavu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 months ago

Die off, that's fine with me.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago

Actually for us folks not in America, it is. In a tragically dark way, of course, but funny nonetheless.

[–] Bring_Back_Buggy_Whips@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Are there violins made with bootstraps?

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

No bootstraps but I've got plenty of thoughts, all out of prayers though, well at least prayers that she'd want.

[–] Jackusflackus@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

A hearty good, fuck you is in order. It’s your fault.

Anyone in said emergency, look up the Four thieves vinegar collective. Kind of a last resort, but that's why they exist
