I thought this might be a Politico article and then I scrolled down and saw "jacobin.com". I almost started laughing.
Slop.

Jacobin should rename itself to the Radlib Public Defender's Office
Okay that got a cackle out of me too.
Jacobin is at leaat consistent with their "The democrats lack of commitment to bigotry is alienating the working class" line. Even when they have to lie to make that stick.
I avoid people wielding wokeness against me by not having a nazi tattoo. In fact, I've managed to not have a nazi tattoo for every day I've ever been alive. It's very easy!
Idk what they mean by "wokeness" but I'm wielding anti-fascism and anti-imperialism against him. I'm also explicitly not a Democrat which literally cannot be said of his supporters.
Not being a Nazi is woke in 2025, sweaty.
This entire tging is the opposite of facts. Like it's not merely wrong.
god forbid I am turned off by a person with Nazi tattoos 🙄
So, "populist" just means Nazi now huh?

nah there was a populist party here over 100 years ago and they were pretty cool
Seen a bunch of these articles. They all get about 2 paragraphs in before "sure, he had a bad tattoo, but he didn't know what it was, and anyway he covered it up"
All ignoring he kept saying he didn't think it was bad and only covered it because people were calling out the fact it was bad and he didn't want to deal with the bad pr
His "apology" was people thought it looked like a nazi tattoo and I feel sorry for those people who thought that
The word "Nazi" does not appear until paragraph #11 btw
I honestly expected better from Branko Marcetic.
Its not woke to harshly be against someone who had a Nazi tattoo for 20 years and only covered it up when people criticized him, who proudly served in blatantly imperialist wars most of his life and is still defensive of it and who literally signed up with blackwater.
I wouldn't have expected anything different from the social fascists at Fedcobin.
We've reached the point where "woke" means what it is supposed to mean: being against Nazis
