If the constitution's so cool how come they keep amending it?
i just stopped going to reddit as soon as I found lemmy.. i tried voat for about a week before I realized it was way more unhinged nazi than reddit was and then it died anyway. I found mastodon and somehow that led me to lemmy and I've been avoiding reddit at all costs ever since
I miss being able to access 100s or 1000s of people for even the most niche subject-area interest. When you have a really specific question. Lemmy can only reliably help if it's a computer thing.
I guess I never used reddit for that.. though it seems like google and most other search engines try to direct you to reddit quite a bit now
I did the same with voat and holy l fuck, I had never seen so many loud and proud fash accounts.
Welcome, the musk effigy is that way
, take this torch
I apologize for being that guy, but you'll notice that the 1A begins "Congress shall make no law . . . " It nominally just protects you from the government punishing you for speech, it doesn't really say anything about open forums, though of course some people have made the argument that it should and we shouldn't be getting our values from the dictums of slavers regardless. The 1A also gets frequently violated, but that's from ICE kidnapping protestors and that sort of thing, though they are laying groundwork to do a lot more, too.
Anyway, welcome. We're glad to have you here, myself included.
Welcome and please hate on Musk as much as you want here.

note that elon musk fucks kids

I got permed just last week. Reddit is a liberal cesspool. I do wish I could figure out how to use this platform better though.
what do you mean by 'liberal interests': do you mean liberal democracy or neoliberalism?
The entire umbrella term of liberal. Neoliberalism, Classical Liberalism, Modern Liberalism, the works
what about social liberalism/progressivism?
