After delaying watching it because of the animation style; I finally watched "Common side effects" And it became my favorite piece of television in years. It just felt "adult" without it being crass. And it worked surprisingly well as a conspiration thriller. I also felt it went against the tropes of the genere, Where normally, the thriller protagonist finds agency by embracing violence. "A baptism through blood;" The protagonist in Common side effects never really changes his main code of ethics but instead seems to reinforce it. It was also nice to see a scientist protagonist that fixes his problems through science, without it feeling like straight out of the "I LOVE SCIENCE" subreddit. I felt his actions made sense, he felt like a person passionate for his field of study. All the characters felt tridimensional and nuanced. In the end I enjoyed the animation style because it showcased a lot of little quirks and mannerisms of each character. Even the "villains" end up having interesting arcs. One of the rare cases of American television where I'm looking forward to a new season.

I wish they had done this one as a live action show.
Continuing The Low Down, it's slowed considerably, I kind of wished for a faster pacing on this one with him getting into all kinds of troubles and more interesting characters. It's still pretty good though. The Gen V finale was pretty predictable and the writing was just atrocious down to the last tropey line. The Chair Company continues to be good, I hope it goes really rabbit hole sometime though.
Starting Lexx and Rewatching Buffy and Voyager
Continuing Gen V and Slow Horses

Slow Horses Season 5
It is still excellent and does a great job of balancing is comedy and drama. It is really impressive how farcical and then how incredibly serious it can be in the space of minutes.

Bodies
It really good. It is is about four cops who find the same body in the same alley each about 49 years apart.

Task
I just finished this and it is excellent.

Stranger Things
I am doing a complete rewatch in preparation for the final season. I am starting S3 now.
Been watching Helluva Boss on Amazon. I watched Hazbin Hotel season 1 a little while ago. I swear the elevator pitch and absolutely over the top sex and violence are there just to hide that Vivienne Medrano is a big softie. I also think there's an interesting critique of modern culture inherent in making life in Hell less like an existential horror and more like the "Gilded Age + the 1950s," but cloaked in the aesthetics of Beetlejuice (and similarly in making Heaven how it is).
I am watching an older show: The Last Ship. Pretty good so far!
