This is the only right thing for him to do. Fuck him. I'm curious what he did to get on trumps bad side when I see him as only have helped Trump.
Masterful would be pulling out the message from Trump telling him to do that so that it would prejudice the voters. ..and then a series of email detailing a story where Trump would threaten him to out him for one crime and making him commit a worse crime.
Even then it wouldn't sway the Johnsons and Greenes of the world, but it'd make for better reality TV than the Apprentice ever was.
I don't think his persona allows for that. He seems to consider himself innocent in all this.

sensationalist clickbait headline. sounds like theyre going to try and do a 'logical' defense even though it will probably be a kangaroo court whose only goal is revenge on behalf of the rapist, trump.
Likely he's going to get a conviction either way, so might as well make them fight for it and hopefully piss off people on the right for him resisting and what he's saying, and on the left for the kangaroo court.

Hyperbole to whitewash over the facts that Comey helped Trump get elected the first time.
Comey didn't force Clinton to ignore the rust belt and ignore the demands of voters on the fence about her. Clinton is the only person that caused Clinton to lose. And it was her pied piper strategy that resulted in billions of free advertising for Trump.
Comey's attorney told the judge he has plans to bring 4 separate motions to dismiss the case, on 4 separate grounds.
- selective and vindictive prosecution
- Lindsey Halligan was not properly appointed as the US attorney, so she has no authority to charge the case.
- Abuse of grand jury, i.e. the indictment is invalid because the Halligan violated the very loose rules that exist when presenting the case to the grand jury.
- outrageous government conduct. Who knows what that is.
I was surprised he didn't move to dismiss right there at the arraignment for failure to state an offense.
The prosecutors said they have a bunch of classified evidence they have to sort through. The judge did not like that. There's no reason for anything to be classified in this case. Comey's alleged lie was in public to Congress on CSPAN. And he was talking about unclassified stuff.
So this classified documents stuff seems to be a delaying tactic, because these guys have no idea what they're going to do with discovery. And I've heard that eastern district of VA is called the "rocket docket" because the judges like to move fast. They don't like delays.
I think it's this? Not positive. It might be that they haven't been told what they're charged with too.

What the fuck do people think "scorched earth" even means.
You don't declare "scorched earth" unless you already have overwhelming victory and have left no opposition or chances of further opposition.
It comes from the act of burning your enemies' towns and fields to the ground, a barbaric, murderous tactic in war to weaken your enemy's infrastructure and demoralize its people. There's usually a lot of rape of women and children in there too, but for some reason we don't include that in the speeches.
Comey was never a friend to progressivism and has been playing politics for a long time. I'm not particularly interested in this while there are real injustices and life-threatening budget cuts happening daily.
That is not the origin of the term. It comes from a desperate act of defense intending to leave an attacker you can't beat in open combat with nothing to forage or pillage, forcing them to rely solely on their over growing supply train. Most armies would only ship in supplemental food and supplies while largely living off the land.
