I appreciate the removal of the unnecessary censorship.

Un-censoring Facebook memes, the world is healing. <3

Funny you say that. Nature’s way is fucking.

From flowers to birdsongs, it’s all about reproduction.

Thank fuck someone is uncensoring the censorship. I don’t want to live in 1984 anymore or under the modern equivalent of the Stasi.

[–] noxypaws@pawb.social 173 points 10 months ago (1 children)

you are a hero for adding "fucking" back

[–] gilgameth@lemmy.world 121 points 10 months ago (1 children)

upvoted because of the censorship removal. Great job.

Uncensoring meme posts is probably a good new use for AI to turn its efforts to I reckon

I fucking love the fact you (or someone) uncensored it

[–] Shiggles@sh.itjust.works 34 points 10 months ago (9 children)

Why go to the trouble of putting a gray box when you could just have put a white box over the censorship scribble?

[–] thespcicifcocean@lemmy.world 80 points 10 months ago (4 children)

because i have no idea what i'm doing and didn't even intend on putting a box there.

[–] RedstoneValley@sh.itjust.works 29 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Heroic effort, nonetheless

[–] Absolute_Axoltl@feddit.uk 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Do you know why the way you did it is right? Because we know you did it. Your way shows everyone that you made an effort. You made a fucking effort and now everyone notices. Go you.

Don't obliterate entries, correct in a way that the previous entry is still legible.

Thank you!

When I see

funi

I wanna share anywhere, I hop on Google Images to look for the highest quality version (I might select the text in the image and copy it and paste it into the search).

Might have saved 0.006 seconds for you. So, over your lifetime, I've still wasted more of your time with this comment than you'll ever save... But anyway!

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

...never make it to fucking heaven

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

that's the second best heaven i've seen

[–] UrPartnerInCrime@sh.itjust.works 19 points 10 months ago

To show that there was the censoring in the first place. If they were to just cover it over it could just look like they replaced any word there (even though most would probably assume it was fucking anyway

This was is say, no, your censoring is dumb and imma put it the fuck back

[–] seathru@lemmy.sdf.org 16 points 10 months ago

Increases engagement.

[–] gigachad@piefed.social 8 points 10 months ago

I'm happy they did it at all

[–] otter@lemmy.ca 4 points 10 months ago

Maybe it was edited on mobile. Some mobile image editors are limited in what they can do

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 27 points 10 months ago

So this is the next phase of censorship they instead of not censoring, we censor the naughty words and then just grafitti it back up?

[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 8 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Self checkout says otherwise, but yeah, lot of cameras.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 9 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Those have cameras now. Walmart's will lock you out and call an employee over if it thinks you didn't scan something.

[–] Landless2029@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The one time I want to Walmart and did self check out I went quick like at the grocer. It scanned the item and the weight sensor couldn't keep up and I got locked out.

When the employee came he barely glanced at the register as he unlocked it and left but I saw it playback a top down view of the register along with my face shot.

Yeah. Lots of cameras.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 2 points 10 months ago

I found out about it when it actually caught me putting something in a bag without scanning it, because I was on autopilot and not paying attention to what I was doing.

But, like you, the employee didn't give a fuck.

[–] porksnort@slrpnk.net 1 points 10 months ago

Oh, I know. And I know where to look to stare hard and assert dominance. Not gonna simp for any clanker.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago
