I mean, the damage is done. I'm sure Jimmy will be restricted on what he is allowed to say, ratings are already dropping due to the abuse of the 1st amendment by ABC.

So the end of this is what the Nazi's wanted anyway. His show will be canceled due to low ratings in a month or 2 and they will all rejoice.

When the reality is, he was threatened by many people much more powerful than him and he probably doesn't want to deal with that shit.

I'm actually pretty convinced that the opposite is true. If Disney is bringing him back on the air, then they know they'll be facing the wrath of trump, they've already come to terms with that. And they also know who Jimmy Kimmel is, they know that a late night comic in this position has to talk about the controversy and they have to double down. I'd put money on Kimmel poking fun at Trump and Kirk on his first day back.

And more to the point, Disney no longer has any leverage to stop Kimmel from saying whatever he wants. What are they going to do, re-cancel him? They'll look like fools and fascists, and they'll watch their profits drop once again. No, Kimmel has all the leverage here, Disney just wants this whole ordeal to be over.

Now we find out whether the FCC was bluffing about pulling the license. That should be interesting.

The question is what kind of deal was done behind closed doors.

So brave. So much backbone

We already knew they could roll over.

I can only imagine how much fun he'll have in the first show back haha

I too don't watch the show.

But I think we're all curious on how he's gonna handle it.

Will he double down and mock trump (highly doubt). Will he do some type of apology whether forced or not to keep his job? Somewhere in between?

I hope Kimmel opens the return show with jokes that show Charlie the respect he is due (and no more). Give the FCC an example of obscenity for their textbooks.
