Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

You know who believed in empathy? Jesus.

You know who would have given Charlie Kirk the side eye for saying it was a made up concept? Jesus.

You know who would have flipped a fucking table if he saw people profiting from his name while saying shit like "empathy is made up"? Jesus.

Would Jesus love Charlie Kirk? Of course, he loves everyone regardless of their sins.

Would Jesus have liked Charlie Kirk? That's very debatable. Prove me wrong 🙏

Kirk had a net worth of like 15 million. Jesus would not have liked him.

[–] Hermit_Lailoken@lemmy.world 22 points 7 months ago

Republican shows that he has mental health issues.

[–] Tempus_Fugit@midwest.social 19 points 7 months ago

Literal blasphemy. That should tell you all you need to know about these demons.

"Good news, Judas. You're off the hook! We found a new guy to do it."

[–] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

Imagine if you were a comedian, really committed to your bit, posing as maga long-term and rolling out a glorious burn linking kirk to judas and everyone just takes your statement at face value. Nehls is a misunderstood comedic genius!

[–] paddythegeek@lemmy.ca 12 points 7 months ago

In other news, Republican is a stupid fucking asshole.

What are grandiose delusions called when they're about someone else?

Reverse illusory superiority?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 9 points 7 months ago

Laying it on with a fucking trowel, aren't they? Who's the 14th disciple, Goebbels?

What is so ironic about that stupid pic + caption that I've seen so many idiots flaunting....that's a pic when he DID actually surrender, LOL.

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 7 points 7 months ago

Kirk would not have given up his worldly possessions to follow Jesus. He also would not have followed the other instructions.

Troy Nehls is an idiot who should be removed from office. All republicans should be removed from office.

I love it when the crazies don't read their own apocrypha.

[–] MrMcGasion@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Not even in the Apocrypha, in Acts 12 they voted to replace Judas with Matthias. And then later in 1st Corinthians 15, Paul claimed to be an apostle. So, not even counting the apocrypha, at best Kirk would be the 15th.

Can we get the Pope's word on this? This sounds like something you could be crucified for back in the day

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 7 months ago

Fundies have nothing to do with the pope, and almost nothing to do with Christianity.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 3 points 7 months ago

Jesus would have flipped a table at him, no doubt. Then go chill with some prostitutes.

[–] ImgurRefugee114@reddthat.com 3 points 7 months ago

Yeah and I'm Krishna

[–] SparroHawc@lemmy.zip 3 points 7 months ago

Are these people just trying to 1-up each other with how hard they can suck a dead man off?

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

He actually had 14 that were specifically mentioned by name in the Bible.

So, once again, the Christians* don't know what the fuck they're talking about.

Or, as would be obvious to a real Christian -they are followers of the antichrist and blaspheming the name of Jesus with every act the claim to do in his name.

PS. I am of no religion or faith. I just like to read.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Some of them may have been known by more than one name. Like Simon who they called "Rock" (Peter).

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 2 points 7 months ago

Yes. Those are one person.

There are 14 individual persons (some having different names, like Simon peter, Saul Paul) named by name (and an assumed number greater than that since the letters of the gospels specifically also mention 'and the rest of the apostles")

Where did Hitler fit in? 14th?

[–] Ioughttamow@fedia.io 1 points 7 months ago

I assume in Lucifer’s three mouths we’d then have Brutus, Cassius, and Charlie Kirk

[–] CannonFodder@lemmy.world 0 points 7 months ago

I this Jesus would have pulled the trigger.

[–] 1141kizzie@thelemmy.club 0 points 7 months ago

Why it is even honorary? Jesus teachings are garbage
