Slash uses one on the first Slash's Snakepit album. I think on the track Lower.

I see that Apple does now, but no indicator of Spotify that I can see. Are you talking about how you can run the desktop app to stream the files on your computer? Because that's not a digital locker.

[-] baronvonj@lemmy.world 4 points 10 hours ago

Yeah it was a hundred times better in GPM.

[-] baronvonj@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

that was on desktop web browser, https://music.youtube.com

school shootings (being common)

Also, I’m pretty sure you can’t do this anymore.

Menu option is still there for me

It opens a file chooser, so I'm guessing it's just one file at a time now, which is lame.

It's nice when it works, but Plex has so thoroughly enshitified themselves now it needs internet access to stream on the home network! (Yes, I have read the KB/wiki pages and done the setup but it loses user management when connecting that way by IP).

There's definitely differences in the catalogs. If there's a particular genre that isn't well represented on YouTube Music that is well covered on Spotify. Maybe they just got YT Premium as a family subscription because the kids are on YouTube all the time. I personally can't imagine switching to a service that doesn't have a digital locker for me to upload my existing library like YouTube Music does (though I'm still mad at the uploads being less integrated than they were in GPM).

[-] baronvonj@lemmy.world 21 points 21 hours ago

why should I be paying for a music streaming app when I already have YouTube premium?

You mean because that subscription includes premium YouTube Music?

Just goes to show how awful he thinks it should be.

So just let the cops go out and hit the streets free of ethics and legal restraint to just do whatever the fuck they want for an hour to beat the public in submission. That's not at all dictatory. Nope. Not one bit.

Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp gives you the heavenly guitar sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, Robben Ford, Joe Bonamassa, and Carlos Santana.*

Perfectly capturing rare ODS amps spanning 30 years, from 1970’s Santa Cruz designs to later iterations built in LA in the '80s and '90s, Enigmatic '82 gives you the sound of the most elusive guitar amps ever made.

Lately when I forced to login to FaceBook they will sent a WhatsApp message to my phone number, even though I don't use WhatsApp. I'd like to see if there is really an account with my number. I tried going to the web client but it seems to be requiring to pair with a device app.

Just came across this flautist using guitar pedals and it's pretty freaking awesome.

I tried to post the MP4 itself but I'm getting a "too many frames" error and can't seem to find any guidelines on video file upload limits.

Just venting here. It's a very low traffic community for a sports team, with announcements from that team's own website posted to the community. And people have to come in and vote it down. 😐

Up to one in four patients who are unresponsive after suffering serious brain injuries might actually still be conscious – indicating more patients may be aware of their surroundings than previously realized, new research suggests.

This state of 'hidden consciousness' is now officially known as cognitive motor dissociation (CMD), where cognitive (or thinking) abilities aren't connected to motor (or movement) abilities. Researchers have been looking into CMD for several years.

However, 62 percent of an additional 112 patients who were visibly responding to instructions at the bedside didn't exhibit the expected brain signals showing responsiveness – so the researchers suggest their methods still don't detect everyone with cognitive function.

Looks like the CS 11 has dropped the AC port and sag control from the 12, and it has an output to power an XP 5 or XP 8. The XP 5 and 8 drop the IEC power plugs, and have outputs to daisy chain to more XP 5/8 units. The XP 5 has SKUs for with and without a power supply, the XP 8 is only sold with a power supply.

The PRS SE NF3 is a distinct guitar in the PRS lineup. The heart of this guitar is a trio of PRS Narrowfield pickups, a first for the SE Series. Supporting these pickups is a poplar body, 22-fret bolt-on maple neck, and the choice of either a rosewood or maple fretboard. The SE NF3 is a versatile workhorse guitar that is fun to play and hard to put down. The Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) “S” pickups are made with taller bobbins to fit more winds and extra metal pieces in between the magnets for a more focused, powerful tone.

My birthday came and went, with two new pedals for my board. The expression pedal is the EP-25k, for use with the Pitch Fork and the tremolo. But alas I only have the one TRS cable for now, so I've only tried it with the Pitchfork. Really fun, and pleasantly different than using a vibrato arm on the guitar.

The EQ I haven't hooked up yet. I need to flip the board and look at my power situation as I don't have any slots left on the C-spot. The main intent for that pedal in the near-term is for when I switch from humbuckers to single coils. Presently plugging in my Strat is just really underwhelming as everything is set more for my PRS 24-08 and Epi 335. A longer-term interest with the EQ pedal is for splitting my chain for wet/dry between the Prince of Tone and the Micro Flanger.
