The first part is definitely true.
I'm confused what you disagree with in the second part.
I certainly wouldn't consider myself in control and I'm not very brutal when I'm in the zone. My roleplaying is just higher quality.
As DM, things only happen if you let them, so you are in complete control. And roleplay is where I'm at my most brutal, so I don't think you can make a judgement call on quality based on that alone.
Being adversarial so the other party can have fun 😈
They do some of the lowest damage in a souls game. Only class of weapons that are lower are daggers; but those are faster and still outclass whips.
As a whip user, I should be the one dishing out the torture, not receiving it! 😩
