Vector W8. Only a handful on the planet, sadly.

For me it's the Nissan March Super Turbo. I'm a hot hatch fan, and this little car has no business having a turbo or being super charged, yet it has both. A white Nissan March Super Turbo hothatch.

I love a Datsun, same thing lol

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 5 points 11 hours ago

Karmann Ghia, electric conversion.

[–] snf@lemmy.world 6 points 13 hours ago

Neighbour across the street had one of these on blocks when I was growing up, it's forever seared into my brain as the most beautiful car ever made (sorry Jaguar). I know the engine is garbage but in my dreams I've swapped in a 400-500 hp EV drivetrain

Detachable scooter included

[–] Hansae@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 9 hours ago

That scooter is something straight out of cyberpunk

[–] x666m@lemmy.zip 3 points 14 hours ago

Worth it for the scooter

1987 Toyota Tercel SR5 Wagon 4x4. 5-speed

I will never forgive Breaking Bad for making this car cost as much as a goddamn Corvette.

I spent untold hours in this thing with high school friends in Massachusetts at the end of obscure dead-end roads tripping my first time on shrooms, mescaline, acid, MDMA, MDA etc. Good times and great memories.

Starrion widebody turbo is my absolute bucket-list car, though a Grand National wouldn’t go amiss, and another Ford Sierra XR4x4 would make me happy

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Good taste.

What the heck is this person smuggling in the driver side doors?

[–] Hansae@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 9 hours ago

East German plastic resin made from Soviet cotton off cuts.

This reminds me of Mr. Bean.

I'd love to have a half sized bus, graffiti it out, call it the party bus and just drive people around in it for an hour or so for free. Bet the cops would execute me for that though.

It would be blasting reggae, I'd replace the seats with lazy boys (if I could find a way to make them safe.) And have privacy curtains. It would be the coolest thing for like a week a before impound.

[–] JoshuaFalken@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

With that rack on the front you don't even need to choose between the two!

The pinnacle of my 'won the lottery' desire from a decade ago was this bus with a livable interior for cross country travel.

[–] sukhmel@programming.dev 3 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

You know, the former is a bit expensive to buy

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

I prefer to just rent a seat when I need it.

Never meet your heroes.

1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Replaced nearly every part, twice. While selling it the front aero stopped working again.

1961 Lincoln Continental. Every part is unique just enough to be difficult to fix or replace. Lots of oddities related to vacuum.

Photos aren’t mine but are nearly identical. My vr4 had the chrome wheels from a convertible.

Lancia 037, preferably with the Martini livery. I am a man doomed to dream, for this will never happen.

Mazda RX-7 FD3S Spirit R Type A

Lotus Exige S 260 Final Edition

Noble M500

[–] Killer57@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The Niisan Z car, I've wanted one since the 260Z.

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

I had a Nismo from 2007-2013, absolutely loved the car. IMO the way a performance model should be. The engine was potent enough, and they made the car stiff as hell and so much fun to drive in squiggles. Miss that car, but this is life.

The new Z looks fantastic, but can't put two kids in the back, and I can't get past the whole it's irresponsible to have two cars right now.

I've got a 2012 WRX hatch (same generation as the '08) and it's been a phenomenal car!

I had a '72 Charger back in the day, fantastic car but I always secretly wished it was a Roadrunner or GTX.

They were superior to drive than the earlier B bodies that usually get the spotlight IMO, thanks to sway bars from the factory and the amazing aerodynamics.
