Wind and Master and Commander for sailing. And maybe some Pirates of the Caribbean too :)
I haven’t watched Maiden yet, definitely this winter sometime.

I had to go look because that was just too interesting of a description. And damn if that’s not exactly it.
My mom and I would rent movies when my dad was on business trips. Go to blockbuster and pick out a movie, make popcorn, cozy blankets. One night my mom got a movie and about 5 minutes in she was like maybe we should turn it off, and I said nah, it’s already playing let’s watch it. So that’s how I ended up watching Pink Flamingos in 3rd grade.
We have two cars and they are both kinda mine. He bike commutes and way prefers it. I work two hours away though and have always driven more. So generally I take the van if I’m going to be at work for a few days, I’ve got it camperized, or the bmw if it’s a there and back, or other trips like that. Since I’m gone for a few days at a time he still needs a car for some errands, otherwise we’d just have the van. I do all the organizing for service work and cleaning, and general car stuff as well.
On the flip side my husband has held on to the domain he got for 22 YEARS., and never did anything with it. We finally got our emails up and running with it last week. Don’t let your dreams be dreams!
I had ear surgery yesterday that will hopefully help with my hearing loss and sinus drainage. I’ve been waiting for almost two years for this hoping that my country would start to cover the procedure but finally said fuck it, it’s worth it for my quality of life. Feeling like I have a head cold today, but without the sick feeling. So far I think I can hear better already but not sure if it’s just wishful thinking lol. I’m cautiously optimistic!
This is a great thread, definitely cheered me and a lot of other people up. Thanks!
Your new place sounds so dreamy! That area is really beautiful too. Congrats on the move and new stage of life!
Man, it warms the cockles of my heart that every time I see Maryland in the news they’re either on the right side of history or just kicking ass in general. I may be a Canadian but I grew up there and it will always be my home state. Congrats girl!
I can get down with this.
Hells yeah it does
I am an industrial seamstress and have been using the same pair of scissors for 20 years. Not everyday as I’ve had some other jobs here and there, but they are still my go to for anything sewing. They are Wiss 10”. Under $100 bucks and very much worth it.
That being said, if you can take these apart and sharpen them then that’s a good deal!
House of Cards, I liked the music and I used to live there so liked seeing all the landmarks. Never watched past the first season though.
