MODERATORS
Ken M is a masterful humorist and comment sections like this are his medium. He plays an idiot who has overlooked a key detail or has misinterpreted something obvious. This one isn't his best work, but some of his earlier stuff is truly genius.

I don't think it works too good because these days people just are this stupid.
Poe's law. Without a clear and unambiguous mark of intent, any parody will be eventually confused with the real stuff being parodied. Because the real stuff really is just that stupid.
