The waiter: "Open your mouth."

[–] humorlessrepost@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Do you like cheesesticks?

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

Wheel of cheese to the head

[–] Cevilia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 68 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Cue the waiter bringing an entire wheel of cheese and an assurance that more's on the way. And adding it to your bill.

Good

Now bring me more

I didn't know it was snowing in Gloucestershire.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Looks like a boss fight is coming up, better start catching.

Serves you right for playing Lactose Intolerance Chicken and getting the waiter involved in your sick game!

I've actually used the lines: "Just shy of what'll get you fired," and "Enough that you start to reconsider your decisions." to great effect.

I said "enough that you'll want me to take a turn at the grater" once, and while I did not get a turn, I was not disappointed.

1 - a lot

2 - none

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago

first one is a bummer because its not clear if there's a tight min/max window outside of which would earn your ire

Funny, but I think genz is uninterested in being forced to do emotional labor. They'll say flatly, "I think you deserve as much as you want" to throw it right back at you. I'm proud of them for breaking the hold the boomers have on us.

'then you know what to do underpaid food delivery human...you know what to do'

  • No cheese then
  • You think I'm worthless, that I don't deserve any cheese ?
  • No, I think you deserve better, Sir !
Everyone stands out and starts clapping.

Where would you get asked? I want to be asked that! Sweet cheeses why has no one ever asked me that?

[–] raid_dad@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

The funniest part about this is that I can’t think of a scenario where I would be asked this.

Only place I can think of is Olive Garden, but other Italian places might as well.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I've been to Italian restaurants in at least a dozen US states and Olive Garden is the only one I remember ever asking.

[–] Natanael@infosec.pub 10 points 1 week ago

Plot twist, you're paying per weight anyway and they get an upsell

[–] oji@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

as much as any other person - a standard serving of three rubs

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

a standard serving of three rubs

Which would also make for a thoroughly underwhelming massage.

Depends on who is doing the rubbing...

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today -3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Or better yet, don't waste your money on a restaurant that's gonna sell you overpriced, preprepared Cisco trash. Cook a meal like a grownup.

[–] burntbacon@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Wait, is it cisco, or sysco? Jesus, have I been reading the trucks' sides wrong this whole time?

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Sysco is food. Cisco is telecom.

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 1 points 4 days ago

Sisqó is the singer.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago

I had the wrong one in mind. It's Sysco.
