They are fun. I think most people just didn't like how they differed from the games. I was never into the games that much so I don't care how they differ.

On Android you can set Do Not Disturb mode to allow calls from your favorites. That's what I do because when I'm sleeping I don't want texts to come through but if an emergency comes up I want to be reachable.
This is why smart TVs should never be connected to the internet.
