The question was auto-suggested, so you'd think the fucking thing would have prepared better for the answer!

No, there is not a reason to expect better answers for auto suggestions because the bullshit machine always throws crap together on the fly.

When they first released it it basically had no guard rails so I had it generate a bunch of sql code and answer unrelated questions. Seems they 'fixed' that so it's now completely useless.

Reminds me of Bull Durham.

All it says is that the product information doesn't mention it, for a quesion that's probably standard across hundreds of listings. You could have read through all the product information yourself to find this out, but the AI did it for you faster. Don't get me wrong, I think AI and the hype around AI are ruining society, I just don't see how this is an example of that. Amazon condensing product reviews and product info is honestly one of the least intrusive uses of this technology I could think of.

The product information does mention it, as highlighted on the right.

You could have read through all the product information yourself to find this out, but the AI did it for you faster.

I did it as a test, since Rufus is shoved in your face now.

All AI did was lead me to believe that it doesn't know, when clearly the information for it to know is right there in plain English.

Amazon condensing product reviews and product info is honestly one of the least intrusive uses of this technology I could think of.

But highly misleading. Another shopper may look at a different, more expensive (as in higher profit) because of this answer.

But on the right it says "compatible with most phone cases," not "case friendly." "Compatible with most phone cases" means it'll probably work with >80% of extant phone cases, while "case friendly" means it likes the case, but only as a friend
