Yes. One of the "reasons" why he did the coup attempt was because he said the opposition was "working" with the DPRK. Also, he seem to want to cause a false-flag attack against the DPRK to help consolidate his coup.

South Korean liberals/socdems suck because they follow neoliberal policies and have anti-feminist views on things (still much less than conservatives have). But they have tried to maintain cordial relations with the DPRK, while pursuing a more independent foreign policy than being pro-US (they have been improving relations with Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua since the late 90's, even started voting against the US embargo against Cuba and investing in the Cuban market).

I remember a few years back that they were planning on stopping the whole loudspeaker propaganda thing because it was a fucking grift where the sound they projected wasn't even good enough to reach anyone and it was literally just a waste of tax dollars and electricity to keep blasting propaganda at the trees and Woodland critters
