I am American, but I live in Japan. I have been searching for a particular T-Fal cooking pot with a particular type of glass lid that used to be available for sale in Japan, but is not any longer.

Doing a broad web search for it, I found it still for sale on Amazon UK. The company selling them even offers to ship to Japan. The problem is when I try to make an account I am blocked because of “suspicious activity.”

I think if I had an account, I would be able to use my own payment methods to buy it and have it shipped to me. Can anyone living in the UK help me?

Amazon accounts work globally, you can log in from everywhere. If they prevent you from logging in, use a VPN.

Yep. While they are registered to a home nation. As soon as you log into another nation's Amazon website, it asks if you want to change nation.

Having multiple addresses from different nations is no issue. You just need to be sure to arrange delivery to the correct one.

I've never done it via their mobile app. But via a web browser, it's easy.

I do not have an Amazon account, so I will make a Japanese account and report back if it worked or not. Thank you.

This.

I've used the same login email having moved between 3 countries in each of the regional sites as well as US (.com) and ordered from 6 other different countries outside where I resided.

Just login to .co.uk with the .com login details and you'll be fine. Note however not all UK vendors will ship overseas.

The vendor already indicated that they can ship to Japan from wherever they are. The issue was using the UK storefront. I’ll see if a Japanese account lets me buy it.

I can log into Amazon UK and Amazon Germany with the same account. Have you tried doing that?

I can't help with the account, but have you tried searching for Tefal? It's an old brand that used to sell kitchenware in the UK, and is pronounced the same way as T-Fal. I'm wondering if there's been a spelling mistake somewhere along the way :)

Yeah, they're definitely the same thing

In the United States, Tefal is marketed as T-fal.[6] This is to comply with DuPont's objection that the name "Tefal" was too close to DuPont's trademark "Teflon".[1] The T-fal brand is also used in Canada[7] and Japan.[8][9]

Oh, that's interesting, I can see why DuPont objected.

The official website no longer carries it. The Amazon seller is not T-fal, so it must be old stock.
