We do 4-days/week daycare to save money, and recently started working that home day afternoon at the library. It's a game changer! There's usually an activity room of some kind set up for young kids to play with various toys.

Bonus is that we don't have to squeeze in a library visit on the weekends to return/pick up books.

Kids are good. Oldest is picking up so much genz lingo from daycare. We are gonna have a cousin watch them all summer. Both of them are a delight.

One thing that really shows the limitations of capitalism is when both parents are sick. We were both down and out last weekend and there's just no one to take over unless you have grandparents willing to help out or can arrange and pay someone. It's almost worse being sick over the weekend because you have the kids with you the whole time and need to try keep them entertained whilst feeling so flat.

Give me the communal groups to offload the kids to.

My husband has a four day weekend. We were surprised by a bunch of cows at the park nearby. We have had milkshakes two days in a row. My kid wakes up asking for them, so we have created a monster.

I'm discombobulated, in-laws are in town, morning activities on Saturday have shifted earlier.

Anyway... How's everyone?
