Pope Francis, who remains hospitalized, has bilateral pneumonia, the Vatican said on Tuesday.

The term simply means pneumonia in both lungs, said Dr. James Musser, director of the center for infectious diseases at the Houston Methodist Research Institute. He added that, without examining a patient, he could not say anything specific about his condition.

I wonder if the next pope installed will be more conservative since that’s hot at the moment

I know a few Catholics in my family turned on the current pope at some point

Not that it's important to me, but I'd bet they'll probably lean more conservative. Catholic Church is hurting for money, plus Trump is pro raping kids, so I'm betting for a substantial personal donation, Trump will indemnify the church against all future lawsuits and let them handle handsy priests within the fold.

I mean at this point I'm just expecting the worst things I can imagine and if it's better than that, that's a good day.

The Catholic church is guilty of many sins. Giving a fuck about the US President was never one of them.

Since people who are not conservative are leaving the Catholic Church at a significant rate, it stands to reason that the people who are left will be more conservative.

I know one person who is a rabid defender of the Catholic church. The last time we talked, I was explaining to her that Jesus taught that you should love your enemies and not fight back. She said I was stupid and that I must have been reading a defective Bible.

Catholicism is modern Phariseeism, so no surprise there.

Lol that quote. "I don't know anything because I'm not involved, you asked me to comment on the story."

Guess he better start praying it away

Thoughts and prayers. It’s all part of god’s plan.

They were saying too that it appeared to be multiple strains of bacteria.

This feels like one of those "fuck you in particular" moments from their deity.

Pope needs food badly.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

I guess this is what the Catholic god wants?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Man, I hated figuring out the bilateral pneumonia of the pope in geometry class...

Sending bad vibes his way! Oh well at least he will get to see mother Theresa and Gandhi in hell soon.
