Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

I’m so completely fed up with the DNC’s fecklessness. It’s genuinely difficult to avoid the conclusion that they’re captive opposition, and have been for at least a decade.

I think at least part of the issue is that somehow they don't think of themselves as active opposition or feckless.

Nancy Pelosi genuinely thinks she can forever take money from the same people funding the Republicans and get away with decades of not actually helping people because she's completely out of touch with what real people are experiencing.

She really thinks she's somehow an effective stalwart against all this, and she probably thinks we're all just making a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to Trumps obvious coup in progress.

This goes for lots of party insiders like Pelosi, not just Pelosi herself, who is used here as an example that everyone is familiar with. She's not a mastermind, she's just one of many people who have been so disconnected from real American life for so long they genuinely don't realize how badly they are losing.

These are not and never were clever people, nor were they or are they courageous.

The DNC is a life raft that is already full; being dragged along by a yacht

Could you elaborate on Pelosi's funding? From what she does it would make sense, but my searches haven't been fruitful.

"shackled man is feckless, opinions at 11"

Nah dude. They played into it. Any shackles on them, they put on themselves.

Its hilariously short sighted that anyone including the news thought that Trump is good for news outlets. Now it's either lose legitimacy or lose WH access and possibly federal sponsored lawsuits.

Once you lose legitimacy you lose all value. Why would I pay attention to you anymore? If I just wanted to know what dear leader wants us to believe, I could go straight to the source at Fox.

Wasn't the NY Times going along with Trump like 3 months ago?

[–] Xanthobilly@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, they sanewashed the shit out of his most egregious transgressions.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty much since he came down that fucking escalator. The "liberal media" always has to flog itself into a contorted position of "both sides" so they made a lot over hay over Hillary "likeability" and her emails while ignoring most everything about donvict and educating anyone about who he was, beyond their incorrect impressions of him being on that game show he was given...

[–] Aatube@kbin.melroy.org 1 points 1 week ago

Not exactly, they published a very long editorial saying Trump was straight-up unfit in the summer

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Figures it's an opinion piece, because the NYTimes has been going along with every single bad American impulse since their inception.
